  2. UK Payroll- Access to a communal time off calendar for all employees.
    As a smaller business we try to have one employee off at a time where possible- it would be hugely useful if they could access a shared leave calendar in the same place as they request leave & submit timesheets from. This would pull data from my admin overview calendar and stop me having to create external calendar in iOS and another in android which leads to missing data etc and wasted holiday requests. They could see if the leave they want is available prior to the request.

  3. Hi, requesting an improved memo setting within payroll. Can we have more setting for memo? for an example a font, format (bold, italic, strike and understrike) and repeating memo.
    Example, a quite unique bonus system for a certain employee and we would like to show her the description for the bonus. we would like to put it on a smaller font size with italic format.

  4. I would like to have the ability to reflect a new increase from the agreed-upon date. Often, salary reviews occur after the financial year-end and need to be backdated. However, Xero does not allow for backdating when other payroll systems do. You have to make a note of the actual start date, which isn't reflected in any reporting, making it not very useful.

    Additionally, there should be the ability for an advanced support person to modify information, enabling them to roll back a change. I recently encountered an issue where third-party software changed the review date of a salary to…

  5. Would really like the option to have a second layer to approve leave. I am a HR Manager and find it hard when the manager approves leave verbally and I do not get notified until later. I would like to see the option for HR or Finance to get a notification or get the option to approve prior to the manager so we can manage the employee leave status.

  6. In UK hospitality, Tronc (tips) systems require a different PAYE to your normal payroll. It would be very useful if Xero could accommodate more than one Payroll, including PAYE reference and employees could have a job with each.

    A pay run should be able to be created with each PAYE separately, and each would have its own coding to the balance sheet. e.g. Net Wages, and Net Wages Tronc are different numbers in COA.

    As things stand I've had to create a second company, paying for a payroll which does not integrate into our main company in any way so…

  7. Payroll Bill
    When submitting VAT Xero now allows you to create a bill that sits on the AP pending payment. Is it possible to have a bill create for Payroll taxes linked to payroll accounts and sits on AP pending payment? This will keep the debt much more visible for companies and make reconciling much cleaner.

  10. I had a situation recently where we increased an employees salary but they wanted to reduce their working hours by 80%. The salary is based on 1 FTE. There is no way to actually do this in Xero Payroll. If I put the FTE salary in (to recognise the actual approved salary increase) and set working hours to 8 hours a day 4 days per week the 1 FTE salary is paid out in full over the year. But it should only be 80% of that. So I had to enter 80% of FTE and reduce the actual work hours…

  14. Xero Me app no longer allows entry of allowances. Previously employees have had ability to enter their hours and any allowances attached on their templates but apparently since the change to STP2 they have stopped this ability which is crazy. Seems to be no point in using Xerome.

    Seeing we have just spent hours ensuring our clients have mapped the allowances correctly to STP2 categories not sure why this has been removed. Pls vote to have returned.

  15. I work in the payroll team at a business where the majority of our employees are on salaries that include super. This means every July, I have to go into every person's pay template and recalculate what their new salary is (because xero works only on an excluding super basis).

    My suggestion: The ability to select whether a salary is including or excluding super per employee. Then every year when the statutory super amount goes up, I won't have to recalculate everyone's new salary for xero. This also means that an employee's payslip has the same salary as what is…

  16. It would be very helpful if any super that has had the 'Mark as Paid' applied was also shown on the superannuation status page and also on the Superannuation Payments Report too. It is a collaborative QA, transparancy/visibility thing that would be very helpful given we have clients, BASAgents, Bookkeepers and Accountants all trying to make sure a client meets all obligations so showing this would provide good clear confirmation as to what has occured no matter which 'advisor' with permission logged in - we can all support each other this way.

  19. Have a paid parental leave pay item so that a balance can be input and 'drawn down' on. The employee and the employer have clear visibility on how much time has been taken and how much is left.

    Since STP PH2 compliance has come in, paid parental leave has just become an earnings pay item and not a leave pay item.

    The workaround of running the Payroll Activity Summary or Transaction Listing Summary report to keep track of the earnings processed for the employee, is onerous and not available to the employee.

  20. Before posting a payroll, when you run the "Payroll Activity" report, include the leave entitlements about to be posted not just the pay items.

    So when you download a report to do a final check before posting payroll you can check ALL payroll activity not just half of it !
