  1. If a pay increase is implemented across the board then currently, the only way to amend employees salary amount is to enter each record manually. If you have a large number of employees this is extremely time consuming.

If a salary scale was used and assigned to employee records, it could be uplifted by a percentage and all records would automatically update.

  2. Would like the option to enable auto leave loading to other leave types other than Annual Leave

Currently leave loading is only enabled for Annual Leave. We have casual workers who are accruing RDO (Roster Days Off) per EBA and Award. Every time they take RDO, we have to manually add 25% casual loading on top.

I did think about just embed the 25% into normal rate but that will ruin the overtime calculation. I.e. for double time penalty rate, casuals get x2.25 but if I embed casual loading in normal cost it would be x2.5 (1.25x2).

    I understand that…

  3. Turn off rounding in payroll deductions and superannuation in Pay Template. Is it possible to turn off rounding for payroll deductions in pay templates, as we have defined benefit member salary sacrifice percentage rates that are more than two decimals and Xero automatically rounds down or up which creates the designated ATO rate lower or higher than specified. Also payroll deduction amounts for Novated Leasing for pre and post tax amounts are rounding down or up to an amount which then we will have to create a journal later to fix the incorrect amount being direct debited from our…

  4. P11 PAYE & P11 NIC annual reports, need to have an option to export as Excel, instead of auto downloading as a webpage.
My auditor requested these in Excel format and there was not an option for this, it would make it much easier if these type of reports could have download options, so you could export to excel.
This will also allow usage for tracking and internal auditing.
Yes, you could copy all and paste into excel, but this isn't always reliable as sometimes it will paste it all in to one cell, (which is a pain to fix)…

Hey Sam, thanks for sharing this idea.

As you’ve found, it’s not possible to export the P11 reports in excel format. Totally understand that copying and pasting details from the .html file is a time-consuming process!

Just curious if there’s specific information required in the P11 reports that’s unavailable in our other reports?

You can find much of the same information in the ‘Gross to Net’ and ‘Payroll Activity Detail / Summary’ reports, and they do support saving as an excel file.

Let me know if that solves this one for you, and we’ll switch this one to delivered 😊

  5. Due to the ATO now requiring employees to keep a record of the hours they work from home in order to claim a percentage of things like internet and electricity bills on their tax return, would it be possible to add this as a Pay Item for employee payslips so it can be easily referenced and submitted for tax purposes.

Hey Nicole, thanks for sharing your idea!

Understand how it'd be useful for employee's to have this information available at tax time.

Just to clarify, it's already possible in Xero to create a custom pay item.

If you need to distinguish between WFH and office hours, you can create a custom pay item for "work from home".
