UK Payroll - Holiday enhancement as per new legislation 1 Jan 2024 to commence April 2024
New holiday regulations from 1 January 2024 to commence from 1 April 2024. The new legislation from 1 April is only based on 4 weeks so it would appear the only option is to manually calculate the enhanced holiday pay.
It would be good in time if it was possible in Xero Payroll to calculate the enhanced holiday on selected pay elements only such as overtime, bonuses, commission, etc.
We use two other payroll software packages that allow this process of selecting specific elements to calculate the enhanced holiday so it is possible.

short term cashflow edit repeated transactions
Hi
I would like a feature in the short term cash flow where when a repeated manual entry transaction is made that you can edit only one instance like a repeated meeting in outlook.
An example is that i have made a regular Money In transaction yet i cannot remove a single instance when the actual invoice is created and i am overstating incoming revenue.

Invoice - Total item quantity on invoice
Invoice - A total items line in invoices would be extremely helpful for our clients to be able to reconcile inventory sent with the invoice.

Sales Credit Note - Approve and send option
When I create a sales credit note for an invoice, there is no option to send it to the client at the same time as approving it. Also, Xero sends me back to the original invoice when I approve the credit note, so in order to send a copy to the client, I have to:
- create the credit note
- open the credit note

Projects: assigning lines in sales credit notes
Currently, each separate line in a sales credit note has to be separately assigned to a Project. There should be tickyboxes so that the lines can be assigned en masse, as there is for bills.

Bank Reconciliation - Overpayments should appear in the Find & Match
Overpayments should appear in the Find & Match for Customers.
If a customer pays their correct amount owing, but an overpayment on their account hasn't been allocated against an invoice, it is impossible to reconcile.
Users have to go into Contacts, check if there is an overpayment, allocate the overpayment against an invoice then go back into the Bank Reconciliation page.
Users should be able to tick the invoices being paid and the overpayment that was used to reconcile in Find & Match.11 votes -

Payroll - Make multiple draft pay runs
Ability to draft future payruns - ie more than 1 darft payrun. Especially at Christmas time. I would like to draft up future payruns before Igo on leave, but still have the ability to adjust this week payrun for overtime etc. At the moment I can't move forward until I complete current payrun. or i have to do un unscheduled payrun to fix it. Very time consuming

Quotes - Subtotal feature
We have to do annual quotes for the service provided.
So we do 1 day quote and then multiply that 1 day quote with the total days of service provided. If there can be a option of have a total of 1 day price and then a separate section underneath to show the total of certain no. of days, that would be great.

Invoicing - Create invoices from an imported payment schedule
We are in the building industry and receive building contracts with an income schedule. It would be good if Xero had the ability for us to email a payment schedule into Xero, similar to how you can email a bill into Xero, and Xero could automatically create draft invoices in accordance with the schedule. The user can then review the draft invoices and approve them as the stages are completed.

Projects: Cursor in "Track to estimate" pop-up in the data entry field
In Projects, when you are assigning an expense to an estimated expense, you have to press tab twice to begin entering the name of the estimated expense you want to assign it to. When the pop-up appears, you should be immediately able to start entering the information that is the only thing you can do in that pop-up.

New Invoicing - Select default for 'Approve' Button e.g not 'Approve & Email
Can there be a system setting which controls the default option on Invoices for the Approve button.
It is currently Approve & Email and we would like to have the default as just Approve.If it was a system setting companies could chose best option for them.

Bank Feeds - Bank Feeds for ethical banks
Our charity places values first and in searching for a new current account for our organisation, ones with high ethical standards that synchronise with Xero is a very restricted field. CAF, Unity Trust, Triodos for example do not have bank feeds and they say this capacity sits with Xero. We currently bank with The Cooperative that scores well, and we have had to leave Barclays who have been exposed as very poor. To reduce risk we must have another account so my idea is that Xero takes the lead on establishing connections with more ethical banks enabling better choice for…

Purchase orders - Expand Overview columns to fit the width of the page
Please change the table view on the Business --> Purchase Orders (Purchase Order Overview) to be the same as the Invoice Overview, which expands to fill the width of the page, as the current Purchases Overview is truncated and you cannot see pertinent purchase order details; like the PO name as an example.

User access - Different access levels for Payroll Admin users
I would like the option of creating separate pay runs and allowing certain individuals access to each. This would help when doing management and senior staff payroll so payroll admin can't access the information of the senior management team. I think the access rights in Xero need to be a bit more flexible as it seems an all or nothing system at the moment. Other accounting packages do have more flexibility with access rights and I think this lets Xero down.
