  1. Bills to Pay UI - Visual Hierarchy

    the new update of the 'bills to pay' screen is great and has some very useful new QOL features but i think the current layout is quite difficult to read and should contain a similar visual hierarchy that the old style had.

    i have found myself focusing intently and trying to figure out where i am up to which could easily be fixed by a graphic designer adjusting fonts, weighting and alignment.

    Hi community, thanks for sharing your feedback in the idea here. Since first raised, we have made some improvement to the Bills to pay page including the ability to quick view and edit bills on the fly from the list, a duplicates review feature and the ability to directly upload to create draft bills in your organisation.

    Taking some of the more recent development into play it'd be good to hear if there are still particular aspects of this page that you feel could be improved.

  2. Could you please change the name on the Payroll Activity Details for Leave Loading Please. Not sure why you call it Annual Leave. It seems to be in the background and I can't change it. See picture attached.

    The Payroll Activity Details report now shows a breakdown of Annual Leave - Leave Loading separate from Annual Leave.

  3. Include a new filed in payroll employee data with employee number. Employees will have a unique indentifier in xero. When running a pay history report the customer number to appear on this report as well as any other payroll roll reports. Businesses are using automated payslip and messaging services for payroll and this info is required for these software's.

  4. Could a similar function that UK organsiations have to "deep archive" employees be rolled out to AU organsiations? This will assist to adhere to legal requirements of retaining employee records for 7 years.

  6. I work for a company where our employees can work on multiple contracts with different pay rates and different working hours for example 2 hours tues and wed at £11.50ph and thurs at £11.75.

    It would be useful if you could allocate an hourly rate to a specific working pattern and then be able to allocate multiple patterns to one employee

  7. The report should be able to generate Employee Name (First & Last in separate columns), DOB, TFN, Bank Details provided, Super Funds & Address.

    We need various information like from time to time for reporting purposes but we cannot get it without having to click in to every single employees - which is hectic

  8. I would like the facility to pay a supplier from within the supplier page. You can see all the invoices that are due for payment while on the supplier page, but then have to leave that screen, go to bills to pay > awaiting payment > search supplier.
    The process could be much simpler.

    Appreciate feedback on my recent update - If you're looking to pay one bill you can easily open the transaction from the Contacts page, however it's not possible to create a batch payment or pay multiple bills from this screen atm. 

    This isn't something we have plans for right now, but we'll re-open this idea to continue to track the interest. I'll share if there's any change or updates here. 

  9. Set the default time method for timesheets.

    Allow the payroll admin to set the default method for all employees to capture the timesheet details. EG set all employees to use only the time in and time out method not the hours method.

  10. My EOM reports include PL, BS, Receivables AND payroll. Management report doesn't allow payroll reports to be added. Please allow this to be added to minimise time generating additional reports.

We use a lot of tracking options on our bills and invoices, sometimes we need to refer back to a particular bill in that tracking option for VAT treatment as an example, but the only way I have found to do that aside from opening each bill individually through the list to find the right category, is to run a tracking summary report, select the particular one and check the expenses - it would be much simpler to be able to see the tracking category alongside the bills to pay screen so you can easily open a bill for the…

    Hi team, while not shown directly on each row of the bills list, our new quick view for bills should resolve the needs here. 😊

    By clicking on the eye icon from the list you'll see your bill shown on the right side of the screen and can use the arrows to quickly move through each bill and view the contents including any tracking that you've assigned within your bill.

    Get in to try and we're keen to hear your feedback on using quick view in bills!

  12. We are after a report which shows the leave accrual rates for each individual employee in bulk report. I know we can view each individual employee by clicking on their leave balance and looking at the "Hours of leave accrued annually by a full-time employee. However for businesses with a large number of employees, this is very time consuming, therefore we would like a bulk report we can run to view all employees accrual rates in the one report.

  13. It was bought to my attention after using xero for over 2 years that depending on how you pay your staff using multipayment or individually that when you reconcile if your staff have access to contacts then they will see the payments made.

    This is a concern for me that they can see the amounts whether your reconcile as a bulk amount and allocate to them or a generic contact - if you use the cash coding area then xero creates a dummy payee called unknown which again can be seen by your staff with standard…

  14. just like overtime wages, it's important to separate unused annual leave paid from regular annual leave paid because this will enable accountant to quickly cal-check whether super guarantee has been calculated/set up correctly. it's impractical or inefficient if we have to check all the pay item settings.

  16. It would be useful if payslips could be scheduled to be posted to Xero Me on a date after the payroll is run. Eg you may run the payroll mid-month but want employees to be able to see their payslips on the date the payment is made at the end of the month.

  17. Search by Employee across all of Payroll reports. We have 110 - 120 staff, currently we have to scroll down to find the right employee, can we have a standards search by employee. ie/ start typing their name and then hit enter

    Hi Belinda, to check in on your idea here are you looking for similar to the Pay History report that allows you to search the employee versus drop down and select as you do in the Leave Transactions report?

  19. In order to monitor expenses by venue, tracking categories in Payroll - giving staff the ability to log their time worked by venue - makes total sense. However, when staff take A/L or S/L, there is no ability to use a tracking category, so all these transactions go to the default 'unassigned'. The time involved in searching what makes up this 'unassigned' amount in a payroll of 35+ employees across 9 venues is astonishingly time-consuming, yet vital to the overall expense reports. Would love to have some time and effort put into this issue please Xero.

  20. It would be great to be able to remove past employees from the drop-down menus when generating Payroll reports. This would be particularly helpful for businesses who employ a lot of staff members, especially if there's a high churn rate.
