To be able to attach documents (images / PDF ) to published reports.

You can only create credit notes to Invoices or Bills if these aren't marked as paid on Xero, or by creating them as new items from contacts or using upload via Hubdoc.
I think it would be beneficial to allow the creation of credit notes from bills or invoices that are already paid. Very often, there is a requirement for a credit note to be created when the bill/invoice is already paid. Adding the feature to allow creating credit notes based on the information already recorded on paid bills/invoices would save a lot of time in dealing with creating new credit notes.

109 votesHi Wojciech, if an invoice or bill has already been paid there is no amount left outstanding for the invoice. It sounds like you'd like the ability to easily copy the detail of an invoice to a credit note? I've slightly updated the title of your idea here, for this.
If this doesn't quite reflect it'd be great to get more detail of scenarios you'd in which your business receives a credit note for a completely paid invoice or bill.

Reporting - Include declined reason for quotes
It would be very useful if the declined reason could be included in a report/export to enable further investigation as to why quotes where declined.
This would highlight any patterns, e.g. price to high, delivery to long etc.1 vote -

AU Payroll - Superannuation Guarantee Charge form report
When a client fails to pay Superannuation Guarantee levy on time the employer should lodge a Super Guarantee charge form. Is it possible to develop a form where the affected employees can be printed & exported to excel to enable a simple "cut & paste"? If the ATO have started an investigation this can save many hours of work especially if the period covered is several years.

NZ Payroll - Option to set automatic pay runs
I have one employee that is paid the same amount every week, it would be great if I could set the pay run to post and file itself every week until further notice. I have an automatic bank payment set up so this would make it so easy - and more importantly it doesn't rely on me remembering.

Email Settings - Contact Name Placeholder to include additional person
It would be great if the Contact Name placeholders could populate the name of the individual person receiving the email rather than just the primary person for a contact.
ex. I have a contact name for a child with the primary person being Parent 1 and additional person being Parent 2. Would love if the Contact Name placeholders could address the email to each Parent 1 and Parent 2 independently instead of just addressing Parent 1 in both emails.

Reports - Show invoice number in GST F5 Return
When running the Transactions by box number tab of the GST F5 Return, the Invoice Number will not be shown if we have already entered a reference on the invoice.
If there is no reference entered, Xero will then show the Invoice Number under the 'Reference' column instead. Screenshot attached.
This makes it difficult to do checking as most users do use the reference when creating invoice but showing the reference usually does not have much significance to the accountant/bookkeeper who is doing the checks for GST submission.
We do hope that the Invoice Number column can also be shown in the Transactions by box number tab of the GST F5 Return report.

AU Payroll - Delegated timesheet approvers
I have different managers responsible for different employee timesheets so therefore I would really like the ability to authorise specific managers to employees. Am still using mostly paper timesheets because of the massive deficiencies in the XeroMe ones (think is one of the many reasons).
I don't think its appropriate that anyone authorised can access all timesheets as it does nothing but create confusion and the potential to authorise the wrong ones. Also unnecessarily time consuming.
Is it possible to please add some tickboxes/controls to remove this hurdle?19 votes -
Bills - Automatically open a new tab when adding a bill
Xero made a change when adding bills at some point last year.
Before, when you clicked to add a new bill, it would automatically open in a new tab, really handy when adding multiple bills to a specific supplier.
Now, you have to right click on add a new bill to open a new tab otherwise you have to keep going back to contacts to re-find the supplier in order to add another bill.
Not sure why this needed to change as it was far more user friendly and was quicker to add bills before.

Reports - Add FX note to Reports
Knowing that FX disclosures were expanded to several reports. However, it is awkward when the Adviser report comprises of Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Changes in Equity, Statements of Cash Flows and Notes to the Financial Statements, only the first two reports are able to be presented in other currency (Eg. SOFP & SOCI presented in USD but SOCE, SOCF and Notes in MYR). Can Xero enable the function of FX in every page of the adviser's report? Thank you.

User roles - Restrict Users from updating contact details
Restrict users from updating contact details. updating contact details, address and attention field, updates all invoices/bills previously posted for the contact. Not all users should be able to do this function.

Contact | Credit Limits - Ability to set a default for all contacts
Should be an added feature of having the option to set a standard credit limit at the one time for all customers instead of having to enter each one individually. This can be edited for each customer later on.

Reporting - Enable all accounts to be selected when creating formulas
Make all ledger accounts across the P&L and the Balance Sheet available when incorporating formulas into financial statements. Some KPI's draw from accounts comparing a P&L account with a Balance Sheet account. At present, only accounts in the Balance Sheet can be used to do KPI's within. This is not optimal.

AU Payroll - Option to delete additional super funds from the employee record
I'd like the ability to delete a super fund from an Employee's Employment tab where they originally had two super funds operating in parallel, and then closed one of their accounts. Currently the obsolete super fund can not be deleted, and can only be updated, which means you end up with two of the same super funds in the employment tab.

It would be great if we could get reminders for customers and suppliers birthdays, this is great for customer relations. Also a reminder for certain documents that might expire at a certain time.

Fixed Assets - Remove Capital Gain from Disposal of an asset
Right now it's not possible to remove the Capital Gain line from the disposal journal when the sales price is more than the original purchase price.
This means, that if you have a motor vehicle that you sold for higher than it's purchase price, the Fixed Asset register will not let you dispose of this asset without recording a capital gain - even though motor vehicles have no capital gains tax on them.
This issue needs to be fixed.

Payable Invoice Details report - Option to display bank details
Need option to display supplier bank details when running the supplier payments bank report. Key for bank approvers to easily verify bank details for supplier payments.

Invoice - Option to customise view of email
The ‘fresh new look’ you have decided to give invoice emails is garish and on the verge of being offensive/pushy - WE ARE NOT A FAN! - and we have been told that this cannot be adjusted!!!!!!!!!!! - REALLY!!!!!!???? - not impressed!!!!! - give the option to amend this or put it back to as it was, please!!!

Projects - Option to default bills & expenses to non-chargeable
Within Xero Projects, we would like the functionality to be able to amend the project setting so that we can set the default to non-chargeable for bills and expenses rather then the current automatic % markup.
The current approach means that the project reporting shows bills outstanding when they aren't particularly relevant when you have contractors delivering the work for an agreed price. at the moment we have to go into each category and amend each line item
