  1. General ledger detail report. Could you please include an option to choose accounts with or without transactions? This was a nice feature in the account transactions report.

  2. For users with Invoice Only access, they currently can only use the 'Receipt' option to add expenses via the mobile app, not via the desktop site version.
    Would make sense to have the same options for same access regardless of what device is being used.

  4. On the invoice template there is a lot of 'white space', particularly to the right of the Product Description, which frequently wraps to a second line. The Product Item code also wraps to a second line on occasions. The Quantity, Unit Price, Discount and VAT columns could be reduced in width to allow for the increase in Item and Description fields.

  5. We need to give specific users access to specific sales.
    We have made our employee have draft only sales access, but now we cant collaborate invoices and quotes there should be an option to give users access to specific invoices & quotes, not the total sales in and out

  6. Project reports are very difficult to follow and understand. The ability to click a transaction and open the source is not possible unlike all standard Xero reports. A Profit and Loss by project is crucial. Project transactions need to be combined into the audit trail so that standard reports can be ran to include project information.

  9. Two ideas:

    1) Need Bookkeeper and Senior assigned

    At the moment, there are only 3 levels "Assigned" "Manager" & "Partner"

    On bigger jobs you may have 4 or 5 people involved, which is not possible. Please can you add some more levels eg Bookkeeper, "Senior" or whatever you want, (a custom field would be even better!). Maybe remove the word "Assigned" as it is too vague. (eg what is your job? Answer: I generally get assigned)

    2) Senior to to Approve

    Following on from (1) it would be good to have an option at least for the "Senior" to approve…

  10. Can Xero please, for the love of all things holy, add ageing to Customer Statements.

    This is beyond critical and has been around for longer than I have, and I'm OLD, how is it still not standard in Xero and why is it not even on the agenda to add?

    I cant even vote for the idea on anyone else's post regarding this, it's the only topic voting isnt working on???

  11. One of the issues we have with Xero Payroll is there is no Anniversary Date for Sick leave. Our company changed hands in Apr 2020. As the new owners did not bring the Sick balances over, our sick leave anniversary became 6mths after change of ownership. That means we have to manually adjust the sick leave balances at 6mths after their Start anniversary rolls around (as service length is still recognised) for our 80 odd staff and then again on the first of October.
    We also have a annual Shutdown for Christmas, when staff have not been with the company…

It would be great to see an option of being able to highlight in red or yellow a particular line on your sales invoice for the client to specifically take note of, because at the moment when I add a note for clients to see I write it in capitals but it still gets ignored. Whereas if it was highlighted they may take more notice of it.

  13. The Account Transactions tab has very weird information presented. I need to see either the Description from the Transaction or the Expense Account account it's hitting. I see neither.

    In the Description Column of the Account Transaction Tab, you have the vendor/contact, not the Expense Description. In the Reference Column, you have the bank reference, which is fine, but it's a duplicate of the vendor info. You're leaving me with no useful information about the transaction.

  14. Please add the ability to dismiss/hide the setup guide without the need to have clicked through and used all options in the guide. Some do not apply to my organization and so there is no way to get the blue setup guide button to disappear and it gets in the way of other things on the screen.

  15. It would be really helpful if there was a report that showed the actual amount of hours worked per month per individual and as a total. Our company has busy seasons, as well as quiet seasons and having a report like this would help us in planning our staffing situation.

  16. At the moment, only the Australian version of Xero offers a tax depreciation function. We hope that this feature can also be added to the New Zealand version, which is where Xero was originally incorporated.

  17. The ability to rearrange the order of data entry would be a big improvement in New invoicing.
    Currently, the expense code and the Profit Centre are separated by the tax code.
    This is not logical or intuitive when entering data.

  18. I would be a huge benefit to be able to see invoices using some type of 'Quick Look' function from the invoice list rather than having to open each one fully to view details. This would allow us to quickly look at a customers history without the time consuming task of opening each one.

  20. Firstly, there are some basic functions totally missing from repeating invoices:

    1. Being able to apply a credit to future repeating invoices
    2. (So that payment doesn’t accidentally get taken by direct debit when there is a credit on the account.)
    3. Schedule a time for repeating invoices to be generated and sent
    4. Schedule a time invoice reminders to be sent (Currently my clients receive their invoices and reminders in the wee hours of the morning which looks really unprofessional.)

    Then there’s the integration with GoCardless automated payments… Which is, well, totally unusable (for me anyway).

    I need one of the following for…
