  1. Currently if you are using auto-sync hubdoc will only allow either purchases or credit notes from suppliers, but not both. If auto-sync is set to purchases then credit notes uploaded are posted as bills, and vice-versa.

    Particularly for high volume customers it would be useful if Hubdoc could differentiate between them and post them appropriately on auto-sync.

  2. Remove CTR validation error for label 10A when entering 0 directly into the main label which is required when using temporary full expensing under the simplified depreciation rules. Instead you are required to create a nil schedule to remove this error and report correctly which is pointless.

  3. As an accountant I use a trial balance for every file I open.
    Can the trial balance be set as a standard report/ automatically added to favourites in the accounting option or each user be able to chose a standard group of favourite reports for all clients - Pain having to go into each new file i access and add to my favourites.

  4. When preparing the second and subsequent years filings in xero tax for accounts and taxation, bring forward the settings, notes, tagging, engagement letter dates into the next year to save re-entering it all again

  5. Have logged this support query, which I also raised a number of years ago and cannot believe how this has not been fixed. Answer from support below:

    In XPM there is no first and last name field for contacts, rather it is just one box for the Name field. While in Xero there are two fields to put a contacts first and last name separately.

    So when a contact on a client syncs from XPM into Xero it is placed into the Last Name field as it recognises the name as one field. Currently, the only way to resolve this…

  6. When there is a Managed Fund distribution on the prefill, the distribution is automatically entered into the Managed fund distribution worksheet. If there is no figure, it pulls through a $0.00 which leads to a $0.00 at the primary producer label L. This then automatically triggers the income averaging to which you manually have to OPT out of. Please fix this issue.

    Hi community, thanks for your support and sharing in the idea here. Diving into your comments, there are a few different ideas that we're picking up on within this one thread;

    1. ability to change the email address/contact of a sent pack
    2. ability to add additional documents to a sent pack, and
    3. the ability to edit metadata of a sent pack

    For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address?  is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?

    Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?

    Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack…

    Thanks for raising this idea, Abhaas. The tax adviser details will roll forward into the next year for each client, once added. But we totally understand that entering them in one place for all clients would be a big time saver.

    For full transparency, this is something we'd love to solve for you, but we currently are working on other items like importing HMRC data and supporting the SA107, so it isn't currently something that is planned right now.

    We definitely see the positives from auto-filling the tax adviser details so we'll continue to monitor interest in this idea and consider how this fits into our plans with making tax and practice management more integrated.

  10. Ability to produce a computation for the current tax year, commonly used for forecasting liabilities and dividend planning. Seems to be available as standard from other software providers.

  11. When doing a CTR for a client that has an ARBN. There is no ARBN field to enter this detail for our client.
    Can you please create a ARBN field and for this to pull from the clients details onto the CTR - as per the attached screenshot of the CTR

  12. The ability to sort Activity Statement "Transactions by Rate" report by 'account code'. This makes the detailed report much easier to review and pick up mistakes. MYOB has always had this function and it is a good time saver. Much easier to look through the report

  14. For non-Xero clients, it would be very useful to be able to use workpapers and include the actual account balance from the Client's accounts, rather than displaying the Xero account balance as nil. As a practice, we use Xero workpapers, but not every single client uses Xero.

  15. We can search by client. We can search by group (if using group='name'), but we can't search or filter by billing clients. This would be handy to see this option in the WIP menu so all related jobs to that billing client are presented for drafting invoices. Currently the only means to achieve this is via the Business>Invoice menu but the job and WIP display is not as ideal or helpful.

  16. It would be great if there was a link between the billable expenses in Xero and XPM that would allow for billable expenses assigned to a client to be created as a cost in XPM. We currently add these manually as a cost on the job.
