  1. We have staff accountants who work in teams. Ideally, we want them to have the "Manager Role" but when that is the case they can only see Workpapers they have created.

    We would prefer to have the option to give staff with "Manager Role" the ability to see and edit all Practice current and/or archived workpapers.

    The alternative is to give them a Partner Role which has a lot of other access we don't really want them to have (ie restore/delete, etc).

  4. Hi there

    Just a suggestion.

    I wonder if we can please make the depreciation and tax depreciation report setting to automatically default to the last saved setting instead of having to save it as default report and without saving it into drafts? Similar to Wrike workflow product.

  6. Ability to create historic workpaper paper packs over 6 years old would be helpful for those clients that need their accounts brought up to date and need to prepare financial statements over 6 years old.

  7. It would be great if the equity workpaper allowed for current year P&L reserve. This allows you to double check once the dividends are posted that the Equity section is not negative.

  8. In XWP when a task is archived you cannot click on the documentation tab on the task/GL level. You can only find documentation via the section at the bottom of the pack.

    I think you should be able to click on the documentation on the task/GL level even when achieved so you know what documentation relates to each task/GL account without having to figure it out by looking at the documentation names (ex: if you have 5 pieces of documentation relating to 5 different GL accounts, you see them all grouped at the bottom of the pack and you don't…

  9. Ability to customise the mapping of the workpaper hotlinks!

    The hotlink feature in workpapers is pretty neat in that it will automatically link in the relevent reports however this could be even more powerful with some very minor teaks.

    Firstly the new style reports would be a good start for replacement but what would be even better then this is the ability to amend the hotlink reports for clients either on a by client or practise level... i.e. if we had the ability to link in customised reports instead of just having the transaction report linked in - I know…

  10. In XERO as at today when you set up a salary sacrificed arrangement, the amount being sacrificed by the employee will be added onto the employer's contribution and appear under the employer's field for reporting purposes.

    But when you need to submit the pension report to the pension provider portal you will need to separate employee and employer contribution. It will be much easier to download the report, at least from the pension filings option, that shows all the breakdown of all information as it needs to be so it can just be uploaded in the pension provider portal without…

  13. I would like to request that a report be designed where you can determine which purchase orders contain the "quantity on order" on a specific code. At the moment the only report you can pull is one where it shows which bills and invoices contain that code.

    We work with thousands of products, and we need to find a way to determine which purchase orders have certain codes. There should be an option to pull a report based on the item code, showing what is on order (including the PO number) as well as the bills and invoices.

  14. The queries in workpapers are currently organised into query headings covering a number of areas. But there are some queries that don't fit into any of those sections neatly and can confuse clients when sent over.

    It would be great if we could create our own headings for the Queries or if Xero could include a 'General' or 'Non-Categorised' section which these less specific queries can be grouped

    Sorry for the status confusion here, Simone. Atm, our team has no plan in building the ability to roll forwards the balance sheet items in Workpapers for now. Rest assured that we’ll still gauge the interest in the community here, so keep voting and let us know how this feature can ease your workflow.
