New Home Page Feedback
Not a fan of the new home page, previous one was so much better, simple yet effective. I would much prefer to stay on the old one for good. The icons/widgets on the new page are too big and too busy. Previous page was simple and easy to navigate. As they say, don't fix something that isn't broken.
Hi team, thank you for your feedback. We have 2 main ideas that relate to the sizing of the widgets and wanting a simpler layout that I welcome you to add your support to.
However I want to be open that the new homepage will permanently become the new experience over this year. We don't accept ideas for the removal of new features, but are very open to hearing what changes you feel could better your experience of the new homepage - please feel free to start a new idea if there are other particular changes you feel could improve this experience for you.

Horrible! Stop forcing these "improvements" on us and listen to people who use it day to day. We just get used to a layout and you change it to make it far harder to work and far slower. New invoicing - awful, takes 3 times as long to copy and create an invoice.
New homepage - ugly and unintuitive, takes ten times as long to find the functions you need on a regular basis.
Inability to reconcile accounts - My biggest reason for not recommending Xero to clients. Your so called "reconciliation" is not real reconciliation. You lie to users that the account is reconciled when there may be many unreconciled transactions in the account.
Stop making cosmetic changes that just annoy users and concentrate on improving the core of the software. -

Please allow us to keep the current homepage. I do not like the new format at all. Sometimes newer doesn't mean better.

I agree about the widgets being too large - everyone sat behind me in the office can now see the figures clearly over my shoulder. I'm going to be spending half of my day hiding the xero window....

Don't change it. It isn't broken and I don't want to be paying for a service that I have to adapt to for no reason.
If you have money to burn give it back to share holders or buy a mega yacht, don't waste it on trying to fix problems that aren't there your just creating more problems. -

I find the new layout has many flaws - my main ones are
Colour choices – I saw Kelly’s comment that the use of red was intentional, however red is one of the most visually fatiguing colours, particularly when used extensively. For users who work in Xero all day, this makes the interface uncomfortable to view for long periods.Size and visual density – The layout is now overly large and visually busy, which makes it harder to work efficiently. The previous layout was far easier on the eyes and allowed information to be absorbed quickly.
Privacy and confidentiality – Because the widgets are so large and bold, financial figures are now easily visible to others in the office. This creates a genuine privacy and confidentiality concern that did not exist with the previous, more compact design.
Let us have the option of using the old or new layout.

I do not like the new homepage and would prefer the old one. WHy not give the user the option if they want to stay with the old?

Hi, please keep the option to keep the old version of the homepage. Adding features is great, as business evolves, and we always need new features, but the way the homepage looks was fine. There was nothing wrong with it! Please allow us to keep the old page.

Hello Xero. I am very very very upset. To me this new Home Page is nothing but a maze of numbers; numbers, numbers, numbers interspersed with white space. To me the appeal of Xero, was its ordered, simplified layout, while the reassuring pink and blue helped to 'humanise' the process. But this new option?? How has it happened that Xero has moved so dramatically away from its original Home Page? And why such a high-handed approach? With deep disappointment, Carolyn

Agreed. I don't understand this change being forced on me. I pay for a service and you are providing a different service I don't want and didn't ask for. Your lack of understanding what customers want is showing.

Hi! How about nothing! There was nothing wrong with the layout and forced to having to adapt to a new interface for no compelling reason is annoying. Just our 2 cents.

New Home Page is very busy, dont like it at all, the Old Home Page is much better, certainly allowing users the choice of which layout is the best option - I would stay with the Old!
Why offer something new if it is a backwards step for your customers?

Totally agree. Just stop messing with what works!
You don't have to justify my subscription. Just leave it as it is. Me and my staff know where everything is and then you come along and change it all up. Its never even any better its just the same stuff just harder to find when I need it quickly
Please just leave it alone

Stop stuffing around with the homepage just to feel relevant and keep busy. Font changes are unnecessary. Shuffling things around is unnecessary and most annoying. In the old homepage I knew automatically where to find the info that matters to me, now I have to search for it. This is not an improvement. Make the “new” homepage optional for those who care about font and clutter
