Quotes - Ability to search or filter the quotes list by customer City or Region
There is multiple quotes that i want to search by "CITY", but it seems that it is not possible.
Can someone guide me how to action this?

Quotes - New field for Repeating Fees
With so many forecasting app using Xero Invoices & Quotes, we would like to see Quotes get an upgrade. Specifically add fields to show the billing frequency for that line.
This would allow us to build our dymanic quotes in Xero, showing one time fees and monthly recurring ones. Hopefully this could also then auto-create the correct invoice types when accepted. So One-time lines are grouped into one regular invoice and all monthly lines are grouped onto a monthly repeating template.

Quotes - Save default Title and Summary for quotes
Would be great to be able to save a default, or even multiple templates, for the Quote TITLE and SUMMARY. We are currently retyping or copy+pasting common quote titles and descriptions for every single quote. Most of our quotes have the same title and a similar description, that could be built into a template or default text if you'd add that feature.
13 votesHey Dean thanks for bringing this Idea to us, we always appreciate our customers thoughts on how we can improve Xero! This Idea has been moved to Gaining Support so others can vote and comment on this. We also wanted to let you know that there is a work around for tis idea, you can create a draft quote with all the relevant details and use that as a base to 'copy to' to reduce the time spent filling out the same details. Don't forget to let you friends and colleagues know they can vote on this idea now 🙂.

Quotes - Show as Estimate in addition to Quote
We would like the option to provide an "estimate" for our Customers, rather than a quote. In our industry, we don't know exactly what items will be required, until we have started the job. If we give our Customers a quote, they expect us to honour the price quoted. An estimate gives us more flexibilty with the specific items we need to order and charge for.

While this feature is not possible at the moment, you are able to use an advanced invoice template to show the quote name as Estimate. You can then switch between either one of the branding themes for when you want it to show as an estimate.

Invoices - Add Delivery due date
Add a field for the date the customer requires delivery. I currently use the expiry date, but if I mark the quote as accepted this date disappears.
This date is crucial for forecasting.

Quote - "Copy to draft quote" to copy ALL details
"Copy to draft quote" to copy ALL details from the invoice.
Currently, when a new quote is created from and invoice using "Copy to draft quote", not all details are copied form the invoice.
For example, the currency is not copied from the invoice but from the customer's default currency (which may be different than the invoice's); I am not aware whether other parts of the invoice are not brought over to the quote.I contacted support who confirmed that this is a feature - it is actually done on purpose.
I think this is in fact a bug and…

At this stage, we’re going to move this idea to Gaining support so we can continue tracking interest and better understand how many customers this impacts and the specific details they expect to be copied across. Quotes - New Status for quotes on hold
In addition to the existing quote tabs, add an On Hold status. It does not need a separate tab. The quote can stay on the Sent page with a clear visual indicator like a dot, icon, or color tag showing it is on hold. This would cover quotes that are not ready to proceed or are conditionally approved but not fully approved, without marking them as accepted. Although the notes section is quite handy, I believe having some sort of visual impact will increase the users' efficiency. :)

Quotes - Edit inventory item from within a quote
I would like the ability to edit inventory item costs directly from the quote page, similar to the option available on the invoice page. I don't mean the price on the quote itself, I mean the cost in the inventory. This would save me a lot of time.

Xero Accounting App - ability to delete quotes
Make all features available on phone app that are available on pc / laptops.
There’s various basic functions that cannot be done on the Xero app designed for phones. Many small business users who are on the road for work want to action expenses and invoices as they go and have the same functionality on their phone as the laptop. Features are currently missing e.g:
- adding a discount to an invoice
- adding a category
- deleting a quote

Quotes - Remove Deleted Quotes from the All list
Quotes that have been Deleted are marked as Deleted but continue to be displayed in the Sales Overviews. There is no need to continue to display deleted items in the Overviews. They should be removed.
73 votesHi team, in the aim of transparency we have split this idea out from the original one here so we can get a better understanding of the interest for this change in each area of Xero.
Being quite different features within Xero it's not likely that a change in one would be reflected in the other area at the same time. We will continue to track interest in removing quotes from the all list here and share if there are any updates.

Xero Accounting app - Quotes should have the share option
Like in xero mobile app in Invoice we Have option to share Invoice via other apps by getting its Link (Even we can send that link to clients with SMS)
Quote should have similar share option in app.

Xero Accounting App - Ability to sort quotes order
In app version, when we click omn Quotes then we see 2 options to choose- numer of quotes sent & number of quotes to invoice.
When we click on number of quotes to invoice then we see all the quotes converted to invoice. But they appear as increasing order means oldest quote on top, we should have option to change the order i.e newest quote on top.3 votesThanks for sending through your idea and highlighting what’s important to you.

XPM - Integrate Quotes with Xero Sign for e-signatures
Currently Quotes are not able to be sent directly for e-sign acceptance (i.e. clients will need to print physical copy of quote, sign and email back unless they have access to adobe sign). It would be an improvement if quote can be sent to Xero Sign for signing and audit trail. Alternatively, it would also be great if clients can accept/decline from the quote email.

Quotes / Invoices - Select which lines to copy to a new transaction
When your quote involves different vendors, it would be nice to have the option to create POs with a click of a button for all the vendors but because you can't specify a vendor for each item then at least let us select the line items. Also very important, any additional information that was added to the description during the quote / invoice process should be carried over to the PO.

Quotes - Move quotes to an expired status after expiry date
At the moment, the options for quote status are: Draft, Sent, Declined, Accepted, and Invoiced. A sales quote that was sent but it's now past the date on which it expired still shows as Sent. It hasn't been Declined yet, but nor has it been Accepted, so there are quotes which are 4 years old still sitting in the list of valid quotes (see attached extract from the accounts of one of my clients). Quotes - Sending a quote to group of contacts
an option to send quote emails and invoice emails to multiple groups of contacts

As you may be aware, you can currently create invoices for contact groups and these can be sent in bulk from the invoice overview page. However, this functionality is currently not available for quotes.

Quote- Multiple formatting options in the "Summary" section.
In the service delivery business the quotation is also your proposal. Having the ability to use bulleting or numbering as well as bold text or underlining would greatly improve the look and feel of your proposal when the "Summary" section is used to describe and summarize the work or project you are quoting on.

Quotes - Make 'invalid account' warnings appear in a new window
When entering a quote, we have to enter an account code for every line of a quote. If we type one in incorrectly (for example entering code 2000 instead of 200), then Xero opens a link to add account codes. The problem is that this does this in the same window. You cannot go back to your 38 line quote that you spent nearly a half hour creating because Xero didn't open a new window, no they put the link to new account codes in the same window as the quote.
