  2. Please increase the limit of lines allowed in the budget manager import from 500. This is to save time from splitting the budget uploads into smaller files.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on increasing the CSV import line limit for budgets. We understand that the current 500-line limit means splitting larger files into smaller uploads, which adds extra steps to the process.

  3. Can the transition period for change in financial year date be added to companies that are non UK organisations as well. we have a group of companies that all extended their financial year but i have only been able to use the transition period in UK organisations. Why is this not an option in non UK organisations?

Hi Claire, thanks for raising this. We appreciate you sharing the want of having the transition period feature across all the regions while it is only currently available for UK organisations. Your idea is now in Gaining support status, meaning our community team have reviewed it and it's open for community support through votes and comments. We encourage others who would benefit from this to add their votes and share their use cases to help us understand the broader need.

  4. On the Fixed Asset Register can there be a column for showing Tracking Catergories?

We deal with clients in the Hospitality Industry and a portion of them operate multiple sites.

It would be handy to have an option in the Fixed Asset Register so we can quickly identify which assets belong to Pub A, Pub B, Pub C etc.

The inclusion of a filter to only show the Fixed Assets of a particular site would also be a huge benefit.

We know that the Register can be exported to Excel which will show the Tracking Catergories but something within Xero…

  5. One of the key steps in preparing client financials is to ensure accounts, especially newly added ones, are assigned to the correct report code. I had the favourited on every client in the old navigation for quick access as it's something I need almost every time. It'd like that back.

Great to get your feedback here, Chris. It'll be good for us to get a sense of interest from others in community that also found this Favouriting of Advanced Account settings useful.

We're keeping a close eye on the interest and will share if there are any updates for you here.

  6. Can you raise an enhancement request for the P&L report to give 2 options- Includes GST and Excludes GST to give an option to the user(similar to the current option of Cash or Accrual)?
If a user selects "Includes GST ", a new line item gets added showing the GST account, else default option is "Excludes GST " meaning no change to the current report.

  7. When setting up Xero for a registered Subcontractor it would be really useful if Xero automatically created a revenue code for CIS Materials Income, like it does for CIS Labour Income.
When setting up a registered Contractor, Xero automatically creates CIS Labour expense and CIS Materials Purchased. But for Subcontractors to invoice CIS Materials Income they have to create their own code. But this is not mentioned in the support articles.
If Xero cannot add this code to the Subcontractor CIS set up, then can they at least add guidance in their support articles please.

  8. Archiving repeating journals
We have had a number of repeating journals over the years. We have gotten to the point where when we want to update these journals, we have to trawl through these. It would be nice to archive the ones we don't need any more so we can just see the ones we need.

Hi team, appreciate raising this idea with us. As noted by others right now it is possible to delete a repeating journal.

If you need to repeat the journal again in the future you could turn one of the previously posted journals into a Repeat journal to start this up again.

We don't have any plans for adding an archive option in the short term but will continue to watch the interest for this here.

  9. New Tracking Report has no summary option - the existing summary option will be retired in November meaning more work will be involved in manually working out the summary balance for each tracked item. Please give a summary option similar to "old" report that is being retired.

  10. We would like to request that the Sales Tax report for each invoice be shown as a single total amount in one bill, without itemizing the individual items in the Sales Tax report.

This format will help us track and reconcile invoices more easily. When the Sales Tax is itemized, it becomes difficult for us to monitor and match the invoices accurately.

We appreciate your support and look forward to your assistance on this matter. Please let us know if you need any further information from our side.

Hi community, appreciate raising this idea in the forums here and we'll start to get an understanding of the interest around this.

As tax can differ per line of an invoice this audit report provides a detailed account of the transactions lines that make up your tax and we want to be open that we don't have plans around changing this view right now.

In the meantime, for reconciliation purposes you may find running the Receivable Invoice Summary report useful.

  12. Flexibility to select what reports are included in a report pack, e.g., Payroll Employee summary

    Hi Team.
I’m struggling to understand why Xero hasn’t resolved this issue. What technical limitation prevents certain reports from being included in a custom report pack, especially when other reports in the same reporting window are available for selection? The process doesn’t seem particularly complex, so it’s unclear why this remains a problem.

Since the reports are generated individually and not merged, it should be possible to allow users to include whichever reports they need in a custom report pack.

    Given the substantial subscription cost,…

Thanks for sharing this suggestion — we can see how adding “as at time of publish” to the DATE / PERIOD would make it much easier to tell which published spreadsheet is the most up to date when reports look otherwise identical.

We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support so we can keep tracking interest and feedback from our community. While we can’t make any promises about if or when this might be added, the support and examples shared here help our product team better understand the impact and usefulness of this change 💥

If there are any updates to share, we’ll post them here.

  14. I have a US corporation in Xero which primarily does business in Canada and collects/remits Canadian sales tax. The rules for a US company are not robust enough to account for Canadian sales tax.
It's common for expenses in Canada to have some combination of taxable/nontaxable amounts. In a Canadian corporation I can manually adjust the tax amount to easily manage these situations, but I can't in a US corporation. Can you add the option to manually adjust tax amounts in US corporations?

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea. We understand that for US organisations managing cross-border expenses, tax differences can sometimes make data entry and reconciliation more complex.

We hear the request for more flexibility to manually adjust sales tax on expenses, especially where foreign tax rules like GST or HST don’t align with default calculations.

We’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and help our product teams review the value of extending manual tax override options to US organisations for cross-border expense scenarios.

  15. For the report templates, would it be possible to include a tax computation as part of the Annual Financial Statements? This schedule would show the income tax calculation for the year as well as the resulting tax asset or liability at year-end.

  16. Budget manager currently only allows you to include actuals for 3m, 6m and 12m. Most businesses do quarterly forecasts and hence also need 9m....why isn't this included as a default option ?? It should be...please !

We’ve seen your feedback on Budget Manager—thanks for sharing it. A 9-month actuals option could support quarterly forecasting.

This idea has been moved to Gaining support, so the community can vote and comment. If this would help your team too, sharing how you’d use it can give the product team more context and help the idea gain traction.

We’ll let you know when this progressed.

  17. Create an option to do a bulk disposal of assets. Have several old assets which are no longer needed and to be disposed at year end. Would save having to dispose of each asset individually.

  18. The current Tracking Summary Report is quite inflexible. I'm unable to filter by Account Code, edit the report layout, nor save as a custom report. It would be good if this report design could be refreshed to include these features, and to bring the report inline with the newer style reports.

  20. When running the account transactions report, it would be nice to add a "reconciled" column when looking at bank accounts. This would make it much easier to identify which transaction is a duplicate or an error that has not already been matched. I know I could run the "Bank reconciliation" to view the unreconciled transactions, but with a client with high volume with integrations creating multiple invoices that are outstanding for a later deposit, this can be messy to review, and I would prefer just seeing everything in the account transaction report.

Thanks for your feedback here, Amanda. Being open this isn't something we have plans for at present but will begin to track interest from your idea.

Good to hear you're aware of the current option available. If there are any plans around expanding the Account Transactions report to surface this information we'll be sure to let you know here.
