  2. The signed declaration on activity statements does not currently display the relevant reporting period. This information is important to clearly identify the period the declaration relates to.

    We request an enhancement to the signed declaration section to include the applicable reporting period to ensure clarity and accuracy and even compliant.

  3. I would like the ability to stop repeat journals set to "post" from posting automatically and edit them to generate as "draft".

    I can't see a way to do this currently and have to delete and re-create which is tiresome

  4. To have the option to remove the draft bill feature when lodging your BAS through Xero. At the moment, the system automatically creates the draft bill when lodging your BAS and we are manually going back and deleting the draft bills.
    It would be great to have option to disable this feature

  5. Please update the tax return screen so you can have a view of the tax return to the side of the return like bills does so you don't have to export the pdf to view the return

  6. It would be great to be able to hide formula rows in reports where the result is a nil balance. Currently we get multiple repetitive total lines on reports when there is no activity cluttering up the reports unnecessarily.

    Hi Kerrin, thanks for raising this. It’s easy to see how automatically hiding custom formula rows with no activity would make reports cleaner and easier to read.

    Without this option, reports can feel cluttered. That often means sharing something that looks busier than it needs to be, or exporting the report just to remove empty rows manually—extra work that defeats the purpose of using the report builder.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can better understand interest in more report-level formatting options. If you’re able to comment with the specific reports where this would be most useful, it’ll help other users understand the use case and help the idea gain traction.

  7. Have the full expanded version of lodgment Error Codes shown on a return that does not lodge correctly so we have a quick, accurate understanding of what is needing to be adjusted.

  8. Uncoded transaction report only allows you to pick all accounts or a single account in the filters.

    I have a client who has 10 accounts but only half of them are current and non personal accounts. I either have to run the report 5 times or have the report being 13 pages long.

    It would be good if we could select multiple accounts in the filters.

  9. Profit & Loss reporting MUST include before and after tax totals. The before tax number would also exclude non-deductible expenses such as Tax, IRD penalties, non-Deductible Entertainment. I use a custom section called Tax and Non-Deductilbe Expenses to calculate the after tax total.
    This is incredibly important because clients look at the Profit number and think they a doing better than they actually are, especially if the tax expense number has not been generated which 99% of the time they look at this report.     Hi Krizza, we understand how having a Business Use Percentage column available in the Fixed Asset Report would make it easier to review and present asset information, particularly for assets with both private and business use.

    While Xero currently applies the business use calculation in the background, having the percentage visible directly in the report would help reduce the need to check individual asset records.

    We’ve updated the status to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest and share the feedback with our product team.

  11. When reviewing quarterly and annual figures from the Profit and Loss report’s account transactions, we currently have to click into each Xero Me app expense to see the description and confirm it’s coded correctly. Expenses entered via bank feeds or bills display descriptions properly in the Account Transactions report, but Xero Me submissions do not.

    This inconsistency makes it difficult to quickly identify and verify transactions without drilling into each one. Competing platforms such as MYOB, QuickBooks, and HandiLedger display expense descriptions consistently, regardless of how the expense was entered.

  12. Custom Reports Formatting & Formulas

    1 - more options like spacers (not just page breaks), lines, section dividers
    2 - text box more flexible = between lines, not just at the beggining and end of the whole reports
    3 - allow formulas to display text results (if statements), not just numbers

  13. I would like to suggest changing Effective Life (Yrs) from Year to Month.
    From our side, we have several assets with a useful life results in an uneven number when expressed in years—for example, 16 months (i.e., 1.33 years).

    Entering useful life in months would be more practical and would help avoid rounding issues when calculating depreciation.

  14. Bank Reconciliation - With Separate Debit and Credit columns with their totals
    Currently both DR and CR amounts show in one column. Would love to see them in their own columns when reporting.

    Also, a larger description/reference area would be great.

  15. Ability to enter search criteria for time entries and then make batch edits to the selected entries. Similar to the find and recode function for accounting transactions. Sometime projects change and/or split into multiple projects. Please add the ability to search for time entries by date, employee, project name, task, etc., and returning a list of the time entries that meet that criteria; select the time entries desired and then make bulk edits to the selected items.

    Hi Roger thanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you. We can see how this idea can be helpful for some users. The best way indeed is to describe it as Find and recode for Projects. We've reviewed this idea and moved it to gaining support. Its upto the community now to get behind it. We will continue monitoring it for more traction.

  16. On HMRC ASA there is a list of clients signed up for MTD for IT with references starting 'X*IT'. These references should be available to Xero so it would be good for that reference to show in Xero within the MTD tab

    Thanks for sharing your idea, Diana. We understand that having a way to keep track of reviewed transactions would help when working through large reports.

    The suggestion is to add a visual indicator for previously viewed items, making it easier to remember where you left off and avoid reopening the same transactions.

    For now, opening transactions in separate browser tabs can help keep your place while reviewing multiple items. We’ll continue tracking this idea here so the community can share feedback and use cases.

  19. I find it incredibly frustrating and time consuming to handle when I have one subcontractor who for what ever reason hasn’t received their statement for a month or a few months to go through each individual submitted return and resend - I have to delete 40+ other subcontractors emails from the section to send one statement.
    I appreciate I could download and email (still have to do individually via each CIS return) however as I am a subcontracted bookkeeeper, I’d rather the email address sending the statement is the Xero one and not my email address.
