Hey everyone! The ability to manually refresh your bank feed really depends on the type of connection you have. For many banks connected via Yodlee, you can already give the feed a nudge and refresh it manually within Xero when you're ready to reconcile. Some of our direct API connections also support this, with a few even importing transactions in near real-time.
As this feature is only available on some feeds, we've moved this idea's status to 'Gaining Support' to align with our new statuses for Xero Product ideas. You can read more about this on our blog.
While building a manual refresh option for every feed type is not on our immediate roadmap, we're keeping a close eye on your votes and comments to help us gauge demand for future work.

Bank Feed - Anext Bank (SNG)
Adding more banks in Singapore for the bank feed in Xero.
Example, adding Anext Bank into Xero. Will benefit small businesses who are using digital bank like Anext Bank.
7 votesHi all, just updating the status of this idea to Gaining Support here, to align with our new statuses for Xero Product ideas. You can read more about this on our blog.
For the time being, you can keep your accounts up to date in Xero by manually importing statements from Anext Bank. As per our last update below, we'd also recommend sharing this link with your bank to let them know you'd like to see them connect with Xero, and they can fill in the form if they're interested in Partnering with us.
While we don't have any direct plans for this atm, we'll share if any are made with you here.

Multi-Entity - Intercompany Account Transaction Feed
There should be an ability to set up an intercompany account using the bank feed function between businesses that are 'connected'. This would save countless hours manually journalling transactions. You should be able to create a transaction in the bank feed, or mark an invoice as paid by the intercompany account and the corresponding transaction should show on the respective other company.
19 votesHi everyone, just a quick update from our team. To align with the changes made to Xero Product Ideas, we've updated the status of this idea here.
We encourage everyone who would find this feature useful to please keep voting and sharing your comments below. Learning more about what you would use this for and how it would help your business helps our product team understand the potential impact. Your detailed feedback is a crucial part of our evaluation process.
Thanks for your continued support and for sharing your thoughts with us!

Bank Reconciliation - Files preview for transactions in Find & Match
When reconciling, it would be helpful to see if an attachment has been added, and to preview that attachment if so, rather than having to open the bill and then click on the attachment, then causing to lose the info on the reconciliation page.
1 voteHi Candooh, appreciate you engaging and raising your idea in the forums here. While we'll continue to watch if this builds momentum from the community here, we want to be open that we don't have any plans for developing preview in the Find & Match modal.
For now, you may find right clicking to open and view the transaction you'd like to preview files for in another browser tab helpful to avoid losing information you've entered in the Reconcile screen.

Bank Accounts - Set up loan schedule and amortization
I think we should be able to create with a loan schedule with interest rates, term and amortization instead of having to manually enter the transaction.
47 votesHi everyone, while we appreciate your interest in a direct feature in Xero to schedule and manage loans this isn't something we have planned right now.
We do have some information on Xero Central that may help some here with managing loans in Xero.
We will continue to monitor the community support for this in the forums here, and share if there are any updates.

Bank Feed - Connect SumUp as a bank account
It would be great to be able to connect a normal SumUp account like you can Stripe or PayPal not just SumUp POS.
19 votesHi everyone, thanks for your votes on this idea. While we're always interested in integrating with more banks, the most effective way to get a new feed established is for customers to request it directly from their bank. The more that SumUp hears from its own customers that a Xero integration for bank feeds is needed, the more likely they are to work with us to build one.
For now, you can manually import your SumUp transaction data into Xero using QIF, OFX, or CSV file types. You can find detailed instructions on how to do this in the Xero Central article below.
This idea is open for voting and comments, and we'll continue to keep an eye on the interest for this idea here.

Bank Feeds - Bank feed form status for all users
When a bank feed form is uploaded, you can see the status of this - currently if one person has uploaded bank feed form, no one else can tell. Would be great if it just showed "bank feed form uploaded and being processed" or something
12 votesHi everyone, thank you for this great suggestion about making the status of bank feed applications visible to all users within a Xero organisation.
We understand that when one team member submits a bank feed form, the lack of visibility can lead to confusion or duplicate work for others.
We encourage you and other members to vote, and add comments below sharing how having a shared status like "bank feed form uploaded and being processed" would improve your team's workflow.
While we don't currently have plans to build this functionality, we'll be keeping a close eye on the support for this idea here and will keep you informed of any updates.

Bank Reconciliation - Overpayments should appear in the Find & Match
Overpayments should appear in the Find & Match for Customers.
If a customer pays their correct amount owing, but an overpayment on their account hasn't been allocated against an invoice, it is impossible to reconcile.
Users have to go into Contacts, check if there is an overpayment, allocate the overpayment against an invoice then go back into the Bank Reconciliation page.
Users should be able to tick the invoices being paid and the overpayment that was used to reconcile in Find & Match.30 votesHi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate the interest and sharing how this feature would be beneficial to you here.
As you may have seen when reconciling or through other updates, we have introduced credit notes into the reconcile experience where you can now find and select credit notes directly from the Find & Match screen.
We understand there are other transactions types our customer would like this functionality extended to and are continuing to consider how we may expand this overtime.
We will share further any further updates around this with you here. Thanks

Reconciliation | Bank Transfer - Attach file
Bank Transfers - they are great and easy - but it would be awesome if we could just improve them in the following ways - some of these suggestions incorporates other suggestions - but thinking if you are working on improving this functionality - it would be great to do it all at once. Currently when you create a transfer from the Bank feed - you can only select a bank account and enter a reference - it would be great if you could also, add tracking code(s) on that screen too (as currently if you need to attach tracking…
27 votesHi team, returning to this idea here we do appreciate the interest in improvements and how we could make the process of reconciling transfers simpler when there are additional details or actions needed.
Being open we're unlikely to deliver all the points raised in this idea at once and it's best for our product teams to understand the interest in each separately.
We do have existing ideas that relate to most of these elements and I've linked to below, and I will edit the title of the idea here to reflec the ability to attach a file when reconciling a Transfer. Please do add your vote to each that matters to you and we'll be sure to share if there is any pogress for that idea respectively. Thanks
- Cash Coding - Add a bulk transfer option (splitting a transfer to mulitple accounts)
- Account Transactions - Edit transaction dates without remove…

Bank Feeds - Photo imports from Starling account
Hi there,
Is there any way you could integrate the photos I put on my Starling Bank account of receipts I receive for purchases for my business account, so that I don't have to enter them twice, once on Starling and once on Xero.
I realise this is not an option, as it's not happening, but the notes I add do come through, so could the photos too?
In this new digital paperless world, it would be good not to have to keep every receipt and have to remember to photograph it twice. Hubdoc doesn't help, because you still have…8 votesHi Lynda, thanks so much for taking the time to share this excellent suggestion. Automatically importing receipt photos from your bank directly into Xero is a great idea, and we can certainly see how much time that would save you.
As you've pointed out, you can also import your receipts into Xero by using Hubdoc.
For transparency, the direct bank feed for Starling Bank was developed and is maintained by the team at Starling. This means they control the type of data—like the transaction date, amount, and notes—that is sent through the feed to Xero. For that reason, the best way forward is to make this feature request directly to Starling Bank, as they are in the best position to add this functionality to the feed they provide.
We’ll keep this idea open on our forum to continue gathering interest here.

Bank Feeds - BNZ feed to be 7 days, not just Tuesday-Saturday
Now that NZ has 7 days transactional banking by all banks, can BNZ who is only providing Xero with bank feeds Tuesday- Saturday, (per Xero support) now send Monday- Saturday, so Saturday/Sunday transactions can be reconciled Monday's and information be up to date.
12 votesHi everyone, thanks for your feedback on the frequency of the BNZ bank feed. We understand that getting timely transaction data is crucial for keeping your accounts up-to-date.
The way the direct feed from BNZ is currently set up means that transactions made over weekends and public holidays are sent through to us on the following business day. This is why you'll typically see these transactions appear in Xero on a Tuesday.
We will keep this idea open for the community to continue voting on. Your votes help us, and our banking partners like BNZ, to gauge demand and prioritise these potential improvements. We’ll be sure to post an update here if there’s any news to share.

Bank Feeds - Get daily feeds for weekends and public holidays
Daily Bank feeds from all banks to Xero for the weekends & public holidays now that transactions are done then and it puts our bank rec out.
10 votesHey everyone, thanks for for letting us know that this is important to you. We agree that having an up-to-the-minute view of your bank transactions, every day of the week, helps make managing your finances so much easier.
The great news is that many banks already offer daily feeds that include weekends and public holidays. Since each bank determines the frequency of their feeds, the availability of this can vary.
If you’re with a bank that doesn’t currently send transactions every day, we encourage you to also reach out to them directly to request this from them specifically, and this will help them to inform demand for this.
We’ll keep this idea open for votes and comments to track the demand for this idea in general, and let you know if there are any updates here.

Bank rules - Option to pause/disable Bank Rules
Would be great to have a "Disable" button for checked/selected Bank rules on the bank rule page, rather than only a "Delete" button. Sometimes staff want to turn them off but we don't want to delete them.
4 votesHi team, thank you for the idea here. We get there can be circumstances where you may want to switch off a bank rule temporarily and we'll continue to watch the interest this idea receives for now.
If there's any progress we will share an update with you here.

Bank reconciliation - Import spend & receive money transactions
An import template for importing bank spend and receive money transactions. Now that Datadear is longer available for Xero clients as an app there is no way to import bank transactions
112 votesHi everyone, we appreciate the support we've received through this idea. Without beating around the bush we don't have any short term plans for enabling the import of spend and receive money transactions. This may be something we look into further down the track so we'll continue to track and review the idea here.
For Xero Partners you could look to use the Conversion toolbox to import bank transactions for your clients.

Settings - Ability to lock bank Reconciliation Period
To be able to lock the bank once reconciled, so no more transactions can be entered or manually forced through the bank
38 votesHi team, sorry it's taken so long for us to return to the idea here.
I appreciate the feedback from my last update where I suggested lock dates as an option and hear why this isn't a viable option for some.
If you're based in the US or CA you may want to check out our newer feature 'Reconcile period' that enables you to reconcile and close period within each bank account.
It'd be good to hear if users from other regions in this idea believe reconcile period would resolve what you're after here and I can merge in to this idea where we're continuing to track interest for expanding this feature to other region. Thanks

Bank Feed - Direct feed for BPoint (Commonwealth Bank Group)
We would like the option to setup a data feed in our Xero file for BPoint transactions to feed directly into Xero (like we have a data feed for our CBA business account). Currently these transactions come in through the CBA business account with no detail other than that they are a BPoint payment, whereas if we had the BPoint data feed setup we could receive all of this information (client name, invoice number, amount etc) to reconcile automatically.
7 votesHi everyone, thanks for your votes on the idea for a direct bank feed for BPoint. We're keeping this idea open to continue gathering support from the community.
At present, the level of transaction detail that appears in your main Commonwealth Bank (CBA) feed is determined by the bank. If you'd like to see more detailed BPoint information within your standard bank feed, we recommend passing this feedback on to CBA directly to see if they can make changes to the data they send.
You also may wish to explore the option of manually importing your BPoint transactions as a potential workaround to capture the details you need. If you can export this transaction data from BPoint directly, you can then import the file directly into Xero to reconcile.
We will continue to keep an eye on the interest for this idea.

Westpac Foreign Currency Feeds (AU)
Ability to set up bank feeds for foreign currency Westpac accounts. For those that bank with Westpac in Australia
18 votesThanks for sharing your feedback and votes for adding Westpac foreign currency account feeds, community.
While a direct feed isn't currently available for these accounts, you can still keep up-to-date in Xero by manually importing your transactions.
Just to give you a bit of insight into how these feeds are built – we rely on our banking partners to make specific account types available to us. The best way to get this on Westpac's radar is for them to hear directly from you, so we encourage you to reach out to them and request support for foreign currency account bank feeds.
For this reason, we're unable to say if or when feeds might be available for these accounts, but we'll continue to keep an eye on the support for this idea, and let you know if there are any changes in this area.

Bank Feeds - Automatic feed for Swiss banks
To establish bank feeds for Swiss banks in Xero.
Purpose: To save users time from having to manually import the statements from Swiss banks into Xero.
21 votesHi everyone, it's helpful to know that having bank feeds available for banks based in Switzerland is important to you.
You can view a full list of direct bank feeds available in your region here. As some of you have noted, if your bank does not currently have a feed available, the best option for now is to manually import your bank statements into Xero. This will help you keep your accounts up-to-date. You can find instructions on how to do this in our Xero Central article here: Import a bank statement.
Another way you can help is by letting your specific banks know that you’d like to see them integrate with Xero. We've found that banks are more likely to prioritise building a feed when they hear directly from their own customers. They can get in touch with our team to start the process here: Register your…

Banking - Increase character limit on bank reference field
Bank feeds from Bendigo Bank, and I presume all other OSKO payments.is being fed into the reference field. It concatenates the description, payee and reference field.
The problem is the field is now too short with new OSKO payment descriptions, so the reference field is often dropped off making some transactions difficult to match. A simple solution is to make this field longer.8 votesHi everyone, thank you for your votes and comments on this idea, and our apologies for the delay in providing an update.
For context, the issue is with how data is supplied to us from the bank. For direct feeds, the information you see in Xero, including the format of the reference field, is provided directly by the financial institution. We are not able to control how this information is formatted and sent to Xero.
For those of you experiencing this with Bendigo Bank, we recommend contacting the bank directly to request that they make changes to the way this OSKO payment data is provided on their feed.
In the meantime, we will leave this idea open to continue tracking support on this.

Bank Reconciliation - Add batch toggle for 'Discuss' to 'Match' view
Bank items to reconcile list ability to toggle all items between 'discuss' and 'match' together as it is easy to miss if an item is showing as 'discuss' but client has uploaded a bill or invoice and it can now be matched
7 votesHi community, it’s been a while since our last update. Just wanted to share a quick status change and keep everyone in the loop.
We’ve updated the idea on bank reconciliation workflows to Gaining support, so it’s easier for the community and the product team to track interest. The idea will stay open for votes and comments, so adding any extra context about your workflow and inviting others to share their experiences can help build a clearer picture of the need.
We’ll let you know if anything changes as the idea progresses.
