Chart of Accounts - Corporation tax account type to show in taxation section
Please can you add an additional account under expense type in the chart of accounts for corporation tax?
One which will automatically post to the profit & loss in between 'Profit on Ordinary Activities Before Taxation' and 'Profit after Taxation'.
The default setting of overhead and having it in with bank fees etc is frustrating.

Not only is it incorrect, for some reason when you click on the various links in the widget it takes you to their broken report - even though the P&L report has been fixed/updated by us, and this is now what's linked by default from the various menus - the widgets don't take account of this.
Seriously, this is such an obvious defect and filters through everything, it makes pretty much all of the new analytics widgets pointless.

Homepage - make all the charting work
At the moment Corporation Tax is located in 'Overheads', meaning that all of the charting, reporting and analytics is incorrect.
Jazzy new home page features are effectively just wrong, because even if you play with layouts in individual P&L reports, the fudamental issue is that the numbers are wrong everywhere else because the chart of accounts places Corporation Tax 'before tax', which is clearly incorrect, wrecking all the charting and reporting features thoughout Xero including on the home page.
So now the home page is littered with a load of misinformation you have to ignore. If the fundamental chart of accounts limitation was corrected all of these features would be great, as it is they're all incorrect.

Agreed - this would be very helpful if it could be moved!

This is a product failure as far as an accounts package goes. It also means we can't use any of the new reporting functionality because tax is mistakenly in expenses before tax, which is crazy.

The default category for Corporation Tax on the P&L is Administrative Costs.
There is a Taxation section with no account codes categorised.
Please could you move the default for Corporation Tax to be Taxation so that I don't need to move it on every single client.

Such an obvious error. I'm surprised and disappointed that Xero has not fixed this yet.

The P&L is incorrect without correcting every time.

Account type for 'taxation expenses' is very important in order to separate corporation tax (current tax and deferred tax) from the operating expenses / overheads of a company.
