History and Notes - Edit and delete notes on invoices, contacts, etc.

Can we please be able to edit or delete notes on invoices?

Currently we can't delete notes, which is really annoying when I make a mistake or enter a note for the wrong invoice (and having the wrong information on a note attached to a customer's invoice means that I can't provide proper support).

On a related note, it would be great if we could cut and paste screen shots (or images in the clipboard) into a note and also use the iPhone app to attach a photo to a note. That would be really handy for including courier or Express Post tracking numbers for orders as well as photos of receipts.

Hi everyone, although no direct change of the status here we wanted to share a recent improvement to Contacts that may be of interest.
Contacts has recently added a new feature that allows you to add additional Notes for a Contact.
When adding or editing a Contact you’ll see a new field for this at the bottom of the Contact Details section, where you can enter, edit and remove notes for a contact.
Meaning that on-going you could enter any notes that you may wish to change or remove overtime in this field. Thanks

    Agreed - we need to be able to amend or delete the contact details notes.

    Any chance you could show how to delete, edit in contact details, I have added a note in the contact section but no option to amend or delete?? Is there a reason why this option to delete notes isn't under consideration, is quite annoying not being able amend or delete a comment.

    It seems ridiculous that you cannot edit or delete notes on an invoice once submitted. If I make a mistake I cannot correct it which means the wrong information is stuck there.

    At the moment Notes can't be edited - which is probably ideal in dispute situations But I think there should be a place where fixed notes can be kept and edited

    Need to be able to delete notes. These should be temporary and deleted once dealt with. Happy for it to remain in the history but not for it pop up on every report

    Major privacy issue if client information is accidentally stored in a note we nee to be able to delete this to meet our privacy obligations.

    I absolutely agree!! We really need to be able to edit or delete notes. We have clients with work that arrives for us where a certain percentage can be done immediately and invoiced and the remaining work is left 'pending' which can't be invoiced. I need to be able to edit notes with the date of the entire clients work arrival, and then edit the note for jobs done and jobs still pending which changes on a weekly/monthly basis. At the moment because I can't edit or delete notes, all I can do is keep adding more and more notes to the clients file which is messy and frustrating for myself and other team members to navigate.

    It would be extremely useful to be able to delete and amend notes. Particularly on contacts where we would like to record information about the contact which is likely to change over time, so being able to amend and/or delete notes would prevent retaining information which is incorrect or irrelevant.

    I posted a note against the wrong contact and can't delete it. I really support the ability be able to delete and edit notes attached to a contact.
