how do I go back to the old quote
how can I revert back to , or can I revert back to the old quote system ?
Appreciate your idea, Peter. Right now, we’re currently building a greater consistency between Xero experiences. And one of the projects that supports this is the quote modernisation - Read our blog here for more information.
We understand that these changes might take a little time to get used to, and we don’t have plans to revert back to old quotes. But rest assured that we're committed to continuously upgrading our technology. So we’ll move the status of this idea as ‘not planned’.

This would be a great feature to have versioning to track different versions created for the Quote, PO or Invoice.

I am finding the new quote major steps backwards.
The new quote does not allow you to create a new product in the same screen it transfers you to a new screen but does not update the page you are working on. How is this a move forward!
Additionally, using the old format, when you created an order the screen would display the stock availability, this is missing in the new format, again how is this an improvement, this should be a basic feature of any package with an inventory tracking facility.
Finally the ability to attached a document is far more complicated in the new format.
I can honestly say Xero you have taken a system that worked perfectly well and made it so inefficient I am considering leaving Xero and reverting back to Sage.
To not even allow your subscribers the option to trial before implementing is poor customer liaising.

Thanks for getting back to me Dana. I'm still finding new quote format slower and more clunky to use. I'm not sure I understand how you have improved xero by adding this. When you trialled new invoice format you gave people a choice to try before just adding this to the software. I appreciate that there may have been a need to upgrade the old format but I would have suggested fixing a few of the problems based on client feedback rather than just changing the whole template and then telling clients that this is the way it is. Why have a feedback forum if you intend to ignore feedback. I've read several negative review on this change. Can you please explain how you have improved the user experience and secondly what features have you added to improve quote. Lastly why were we not given an option to trial this. Its very disruptive to businesses to change their point of sale and bookkeeping processes without any warning or notice. Simply put this change has just made the process slower, costing my business time and therefore money. All I can gather is that you have changed the look which has not improved the user experience in any way and has made processes slower (such as having to delete client name when copying quote rather than just typing new name in) Ben

Thanks for your input, Ben. We’re upgrading our technology through our quote modernisation so we can deliver more features in the future. As we’ve mentioned earlier, we don’t have plans to change back to our previous version of quotes.
You’re welcome to add your vote to ideas for change to new quotes in Xero or start a new one for something that's not already been raised. -

not sure how to post feedback on new quote layout. It is very clunky. Also today i was coping old quote to new and date is not correct, carried from original quote, not today's date. Please please go back to the old interface or at least give us a choice.

How do I turn off new quote format? Some improvements but overall the format is too large, process is slower and quoting not as easy. I appreciate that there may be some time needed to learn this but why not give us the option to trial like you did with new invoice format (which we tried then decided not to use). Just turning on computer one day to find I now have to use a different quote format was pretty frustrating. Would have appreciated the improvements without an fully new format
