Import data from Excel spreadsheet into Xero Invoices
Import data from Excel spreadsheet into Xero Invoices to save re-keying information. It would be great to have a feature that allows you to cut and paste data from spreadsheets directly into Xero. I do use the Copy invoice function when repeating invoices are raised however it would be great to be able to import data for the initial invoice. Some of our invoices are between 20 - 70 lines - would save a huge amount of data entry
Hi Rachel, it's already possible to import customer invoices to Xero. It's catered for via the CSV, but you can use our template to enter (or copy & paste) invoice data when using Excel.
When imported to your Xero org, this'll create draft invoices that you can then quickly approve from the invoice list if you're confident in their entry, or open to approve each invoice individually - More on approving here 🙂
