Management report - Ability to change dates of individual reports
Can you please amend the MANAGEMENT REPORT to have the ability to CHANGE DATES for an individual report in the Report Pack.
Does it have to have the same date for every report page in the report pack? Almost every single month I need some accounts for the CURRENT MONTH, and others for the YEAR TO DATE, or for a DIFFERENT PERIOD, but every time i change ONE DATE, , EVERY SINGLE REPORT CHANGES. It';s just AWFUL.
Hi community!
Thanks to everyone who shared their feedback on this idea, and took the time to connect with our design and product teams for interviews 😊
Based on this feedback, we’ve rolled out a change to the Management Report pack.
By default, the dates for individual reports will still align with the date range of the pack. However, you can now click ‘Manage dates’ to set the dates for individual reports in the pack.
See the attached GIF for an example, or get started with the feature yourself, by following the steps in our Management Reports article.

This is a critical reporting tool, being able to use different dates on each report.
At the moment this task is taking far longer than it should

I have a report pack where I select the month end date which lets me see the cumulative p & L and the P&L for the month but I then wanted to add the Actual profit to date with the budgeted figure for future months so I could see where we were heading at the year end......but selecting the month end date gives me the actuals on a year to date without the future budgeted figures

We need some report to be "last month" and some reports to be “Year to end of last month” (not even an option so we have to manually do each time).
We are concerned as we are getting messages to say the old reports are not going to be available to us shortly - how will we be doing our management repots going forward - do we now need to run to multiple separate report packs each month instead of one?
We have been asking for years for a report pack with the same functionality as the old one - please do not remove it if it cannot be recreated! -

It boggles my mind that there needs to be a feature request to add functionality to the new reports that exists in the old reports.
The old reports should not be turned off until the full functionality has replicated in the new reports,

It would be great to be able to add different date ranges for different reports within a pack. We have one client that likes to see a rolling 12 months P&L report, as well as the standard monthly P&L report with a YTD column and Balance Sheet.

Seriously, it is about the ability to ***CHANGE THE DATES ON THE SPECIFIC REPORTS IN THE PACK.
EG. The Blance Sheet might be Dec 22, 1 x P&L for Dec 2022 , BUT WE ALSO WANT TO ADD ANOTHER P&L FOR THE QUARTER, OR INCLUDE AN ACCOUNT TRANSCATIONS REPORT FOR A DIFFERENET DATE RANGE, ***NOT** BE STUCK ON THE "ONE DATE -

I agree, we need Balance sheet for current month with comparison same last f/y, Profit & Loss financial year to date c/f same period last f/y, budget variance for current month etc. The pack doesn't save time when date ranges are a critical element that have been omitted from the customisable options.
I've also noted that whenever I edit a report layout, when I save the new layout it defaults the date range back to a preset range, it doesn't hold on to the date range I've entered. This also adds time having to reset the date range all the time. -

An example is in a MONTHLY Management report, I need to include the Drawings or Loan Account for the WHOLE YEAR TO DATE, or the monthly report with the QUARTERLY P&L as well as the individual monthly (yes, i know we can do a 3 month comparison one, but some clients want separately); and maybe report the ATO account way back to when debt started accumulating.... sooo many options

Desperately begging you..........................Can we PLEASE have the ability to change the date for INDIVIDUAL REPORTS WITHIN A REPORT PACK.
Currently the Pack date range is LOCKED and every single report MUST be the same, but about 95% of the time within the pack I nee dto include a report that is not foor just the month, but for a Financial Year or Calendar year, or other, PLEASE
And adding a separate page for another month CAN NOT work aS THE WHOLE REPORT IS STUCK IN one period .

I have tried to do the same. None of your existing reports will allow this.
Please allow more options within your report pack, including more asset register/depreciation schedule reports to be selected.
Thank you. -

I agree this would be an extremely useful function to have in one report so that various comparisons can be reviewed within a single report.

Agreed. I tried to do the same comparison.

Good afternoon,
A good example is the depreciation schedule. You might be preparing management reports for a particular month e.g. August 2022 and set up the custom date range of 1 - 31 August 2022. This will run all reports in the management report pack for the month of August by default.
However, you also want to add in the depreciation schedule for the year to date i.e. 1 April to 31 August 2022. However if you change the date range for the depreciation schedule for the year to date, it currently applies that date change to the rest of the report pack.

Wastes time to have to update this every time.

It would be great if the different reports in the pack (or new reports added in to the pack) could have different date ranges.
ie cash summary could be monthly (1 July to 31 July) and show 12 months worth of data such as April, May June July etc when you have monthly comparison periods
But profit and loss could show date 1 April to 31 July - with one yearly comparison period giving us year to date this year and year to date last yearOld report pack allowed us to do this
New report pack requires us to edit layout each time we generate reports and to add extra columns to cash summary which adds extra time to each client we do this for and is less efficient. New report packs look better, but functionality is actually reduced
Thanks for reading if you got this far!
