XPM | Job Manager - View jobs due in a period
Hi There
With the new job manager view we are finding that we have lost a lot of efficiency in the functionality of day-to-day job manager. Previously on the job page (now seen when we click on "mmanaged by", there is the tabulation of jobs due this week and next. Ths was a great tool for job management and workflow whereby we could click on these headers and view the number of jobs for eg due this week and work through these to complete. Now when this is clicked on it takes us back to the new job page full listing - not useful at all.
Could you please look at this at the back end and have these tabs rectified so when clicked on you actually are taken to the list of jobs due this week, next week, overdue , or started today. Development is great but not when it is at the expenses of useful functionality and something that already works.
Would be a good idea to add back the functionality that was there prior to the update so that the "start today', due this week" , "due next week", and "overdue" taps are restore to how they used to work. Not a new idea necessarily but a reinstatement of an old, and worthwhile , feature for workflow management.
Thanks for your detail and sharing on this in Xero Product Ideas, Michelle.
While we appreciate what you're asking, we made a recent update that does impact your idea and wanted to share with you, here.
Recently, we removed the summary table in Job Manager, as all the information shown here is now available in the All jobs tab through filtering and pagination.
You'll find from the All job tab that you can view Totals, these are located near the Search bar, and bottom of the page where pagination is shown. You can also set filters for the results you've noted;
- Starting today - by setting a Start Date filter with > Custom date, and choosing today's date from the calendar
- Due this week - by setting Due date to filter by 'This week'
- Due next week - by setting a Due Date filter with > Customer date and selecting the next weeks period from the calendar
- Overdue - by setting the Filter to All Overdue
If there are certain filters you find handy, you can Save filter views to easily access this anytime without having to start from scratch.
