Thanks for your interest in being able to send a PDF of an invoice via the Xero Network.
While this isn't something we're looking to develop atm. For those in AU and NZ you could look into sending e invoices via the Peppol network.
Through e invoices you can attach and include files as well as a PDF of the invoice - See more on Xero Central

I am not sure if this is available to everyone, but with the latest update when I switched over to the new invoice method and linked the two companies, I was able to select to attach a pdf when sending the invoices from one Xero file to another.

@Tim and @ Clare
@Tim I have confirmed that the file is in the other entity.
I have switched to the new invoicing in Xero so not sure if that makes a difference.
I select the bottom button to say create eInvoice and then click update and send and then on the Send eInvoice pop-up I click Include a PDF copy of this invoice.
This invoice will be sent directly to your customer's financial system and then click send.
It does take a bit to upload in the other Xero file.

I am not sure about those you are referring to it has been a while since I have set it up so not sure if there maybe something in the setup that will influence it but the tick I am referring to is the one that you select when the Send eInvoice is clicked and a pop-up box appears, like when you email invoices to customers.
Hope this helps.
