Hi team, great to get your feedback and support through the idea here. We acknowledge the challenges with the current way we record leave hours and the impact this has on the calculation. We've started some work around this with the introduction of our new working patterns feature which support you in defining the actual hours worked each day
While in early stages at present we'll keep you updated on progress for this here.

Appreciate the idea.
To confirm for those in differing regions - Xero Payroll is developed specifically for each region based on local compliance and regulation.
It looks like there maybe some in the idea here that are after the same Xerp payroll for AU - you'll find an idea you can join for this across here.

Accrue leave at end of calendar year so it is showing available at 1st January rather than not showing until after January pay run. Currently no allowance shows for employees until January pay run which is wrong if holiday starts at 1st Jan.

Xero defaults hours per day at 8 hours yet not all businesses have 8 hour working days. Need setting for user to confirm number of hours. Currently holiday allowance calculated incorrectly as a result and needs manually adjusting when approving. Also need option to select half day holiday, or set number of hours. It seems this option has disappeared from Xero Me app.
