Hi community, we appreciate the continued attention this idea is receiving. While our team will continue to review this idea, Xero Tax remains a Partner only product with tools and capabilities that help Xero Partners serve their clients with ease, and we don't have immediate intentions of changing this. Again, we'd like to encourage that if you're not currently connected to a Xero Partner you can find one that can serve your advisor needs through our Advisor Directory. If there is any change planned we will update you of this, here.
Also to note, our current position on Xero Tax does not relate to our MTD IT program and we'll be providing further information for this separately on this idea.Thanks

Thanks for your feedback, John - It'd be great to get you to join one of our demo webinars to see our MTD for ITSA product. They run every few weeks and you can sign up here.
Alternatively, reach out to your account manager who can help set that up. If you like the look of the solution you can start testing it with clients now, by joining the beta programme.
In terms of Xero plans, MTD for ITSA will be available on every plan. This means it'll be available on all business plans - Starter, Standard, Premium, but also all partner plans - Ledger, Cashbooks, Bureau, etc.
Clients may also be interested in the new app Xero Go, a simple business tracking and data capture tool, which links to a Xero partner plan so you can see the data and manage ITSA filings.

I believe Sage is making it possible for clients to submit their own MTD ITSA quarterly returns, i.e. not having to join an accountancy firm for Partner access. Is Xero still adamant that the submission is only available to Partners? Surely they should see that people will move to software that helps them do the job (even if it isn't their first choice of software)?
