Hi community, first off thank you for the continued interest and feedback surrounding this idea. We’re continuing to build on the bank reconciliation experience in Xero and recognise the ways this feature will help improve the efficiency, flexibility and transparency of transactions in your business. Our team have done a lot of exploration into being able to surface and match Credit Notes when reconciling your bank account in Xero, and this is now in development.
We’ll shift the idea here into ‘Working on it’ and continue to update as there’s more detail of this to share.

Issues relating to credit notes.
When allocating supplier payments we currently have to allocate credit notes first in the 'pay bills' section before being able to allocate the bank payment to the balance. This causes issues with the remittance advice that is then sent to the supplier because the credit note is not show separately.
It also means we have to review aged payables for credit notes before we can allocate bank payments in the bank payment screen. It would be more helpful if the credit note appeared in the match screen in the bank section and could be included along with the invoices.
It would also be helpful if you could allocate a supplier/customer refund from the bank screen to the relevant credit note.
