Hi everyone, I'm pleased to share that we're moving forward with the ability to schedule the send of an invoice from Xero.
We're in the early phase of releasing our new invoicing scheduler to customers, and appreciating the direct interest you've all shown here we've included everyone that's voted on this idea in our initial rollout!
You'll see a tool tip on the invoice page for email scheduling, and be able to choose the right date/time when you go to email an invoice (from the send email dropdown). 😊
We're really keen to hear your feedback.
We appreciate there are asks within this idea for being able to schedule the send of other document type such as payslips and want to be upfront that this isn't in the roadmap at present. However, once our invoice scheduler is out to all, we'll be monitoring it's use closely and consider how this…

@kelly munro - Great development and thank you for including us in the release. I've just tried it and worked easily. I've got an invoice scheduled for a few days time.
One immediate observation to feed back to you is that once an invoice has been scheduled there doesn't appear to be an obvious way that a user would know this. The history and notes aren't updated to say it's been scheduled.
On the Sales Overview -> Invoices page, the invoice remains under the Awaiting Approval menu. A new menu would work better such as Scheduled or if a new menu isn't an option then maybe on the Awaiting Approval page a new column to flag that it has been scheduled.
Hope this is helpful.

Some further feedback on the invoices I scheduled to go out. Looking in the history and notes section I can see that the invoice was sent by email at the date and time I'd specified. However the status of the invoice remains 'Submitted for approval' rather than 'Awaiting Payment'
