Appreciate how you'd like to do this within Xero, however just to confirm it's currently possible to import budgets with more periods.
You'll just need to make sure to format the dates in your import file - more on this here.
If you'd like a practice run, try it in the demo company before importing into your own org 🙂

I agree that extending the budget manager period beyond 12 months would be extremely useful, especially for industries like movie and film production where projects often continue for several years. Having the ability to adjust long-term budgets and track accurate variances over time would make financial planning much easier. Companies managing large entertainment projects, including teams working with platforms like https://cinebyhd.com/, could benefit greatly from more flexible budgeting periods and extended reporting access in Xero.
