    Aaah wait, apologies Christine - I see you're referring to adding a % on to a line item rather than discounting by a %.

    There is no way to do this at present - we have a somewhat similar idea for adding freight charges across here. 

    Instead, you could add these type of items as additional line items in the invoice, and use Xero's inbuilt calculator to determine what the % of the invoice total would be. 

    Amounts are field will help you control where the tax is applied.

    We often need to add a production fee to invoices at a % of the total or part of an invoice. The only way I've been able to work out how to do this is to manually calculate the percentage and add a line as 1 unit @ £££ cost. However this does leave room for error and causes problems if items on the invoice need to change.

    This would be a really useful feature!!
