    I had the same issue and queried Xero Support. I was directed to this thread to share my thoughts. This is quite a common issue where most businesses build an asset with multiple components. It is cumbersome generating multiple assets for the components of one asset. Would appreciate if Xero comes up with this feature soonest possible.
