Thanks for sharing this idea, we appreciate wanting to enable staff to keep working when your internet's down.
If we were to work on a change like this, we'd have to consider the implications this could have if multiple people worked on the same items while they were offline, and how this data would sync when they reconnected to the internet.
It's not something we have plans for, but we'll start to track the interest in your idea here, so feel free to share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit. They can add their votes and comments to share additional detail about how this could improve their experience with Xero.

Hi everyone, a quick update on multi-authorisation for Payday Super.
We recognise that multi-authorisation is a priority for many of you, particularly as Payday Super approaches and businesses review how they manage super payments in Xero.
Our Product team is actively working on an enhanced workflow for this, which is on track for release next quarter.
We’ll share more updates as soon as we have more to confirm.

I'm going to be honest; offline syncing needs to be a thing. The amount of time wasted from Xero crashing and needing to wait until its back online is annoying.
It's not just doing returns and BAS's that we use XERO for. We have Xero Practice Manager which is literally our whole management system where we look up contacts and other information to complete general administration tasks.
A way you guys can do this is creating a desktop version/ and/or another offline version that auto synchs when your servers are back online after crashing and/or as this thread mentions having internet again.
Yes for security purposes there's a reason you probably haven't done this, but this is really a big issue that needs to be fixed.
