    Thanks for taking the time to share this, Anthony. We appreciate how automatic task numbering could improve visibility.

    We've updated the idea to Gaining Support while we continue to gather feedback from the community.

    As a workaround, you can add sequential numbers to task names yourself, and if you have repeatable tasks, you can create them as untracked inventory item instead.
