Hi Jess, we understand you’re looking for the ability to connect one Stripe account to multiple Xero organisations, so managing payments across different entities is simpler.
Having a multi-organisation connection option could help keep all payment information in a single Stripe dashboard.
We’ll continue to keep track of this idea and gather feedback from the community.

I fell into this yesterday. We already use Stripe, and Xero offers what appears to be a convenient way to “connect your Stripe account”.
That wording is misleading. Xero does not connect the organisation to the existing Stripe account or its established payment flow. It uses the existing account details to create a separate Xero-specific Stripe account, with a different Stripe account ID, separate balance, separate payout settings and Stripe’s new-account settlement restrictions.
In my case, our established Stripe account has next-working-day settlement, while the first Xero invoice payment is being held for seven days because Xero created a new Stripe account.
This should be made completely clear before the connection is authorised. Users should be told that selecting their existing Stripe account will still create a separate account, and that existing settlement history and payout arrangements will not carry across.
Ideally, Xero should allow an organisation to use an existing Stripe account directly. At the very least, it should stop describing this process as simply linking or connecting an existing account.
