Unincorporated societies in the UK are required to submit a CT600 tax return, however this feature in Xero is currently restricted to Limited Companies and I was advised to go via an Accountant or Xero's advisory service to do this.
Unincorporated societies are by their nature non-profit and only have low income and turnover, so expensive advisory services are not an option.
Since it is already possible for a Limited Company to make a tax return it should be a simple change to allow Unincorporated Societies to use the same filing feature to make a CT600 submission.

My Idea which was CT600 for un-incorporated associations has been merged into this idea, but the title has not been updated to reflect this. Any work done here needs to be applicable to un-incorporated associations as well or it will be of no use to me since my organisation is not a charity.
As others have said with the HMRC service having been withdrawn being able to submit our CT600 is now an urgent issue for my organisation and we will need to make a decision in the next few weeks on how to proceed, our options include identifying Xero competitors who provide this with a view to moving all our accounts.
So a statement from Xero on if and when this will be supported is now needed.
