Sorry to hear you're not liking the refresh of the Files inbox, Felicity. The intention is to make managing and working with your files simpler and more efficient.
Just to confirm, when you say this has added extra clicks for you - would that be the need to go to the Archived tab to access a fioder you've moved a file to?

Thanks for sharing your feedback on Smart Document Capture in Files.
We understand that, while Smart Document Capture can be useful, your main requirement is to be able to rename a file while viewing it. We appreciate how removing this option has made your workflow more difficult, especially when most of your documents are classified as “Other”.
We’ve reviewed your idea and moved it to Gaining Support so other customers can vote and share more detail about how this affects their workflow.
An error occurred while saving the comment
I find the 'File Details' box clutters my screen and I take longer to find the information I need from a document and the document text is now smaller and harder to read.
