Sorry Robert accidental post on the wrong idea! As per Malcolm's suggestion you can use the Xero network to send invoices from one company to another to create as a bill in the other. We don't have any plans to extend the Xero network to journals but for now we'll get a sense of interest from the wider community.

Hi everyone, while we appreciate your interest in a direct feature in Xero to schedule and manage loans this isn't something we have planned right now.
We do have some information on Xero Central that may help some here with managing loans in Xero.
We will continue to monitor the community support for this in the forums here, and share if there are any updates.

I've newly migrated from Sage to Xero, while I like many things in xero but there are some so basic and fundamental features that are missing in Xero that makes me regret the move. Ability to maintain a loan schedule and link it with statement and schedule is a must must MUST HAVE!
Extremely disappointed with the speed at which xero is taking up these requests.

I have been recently thinking on this same idea and it would be such a boon for people using consolidated accounts and frequent intercompany transactions between concerns.
