UK Payroll: Automatically send payslips when pay run is posted
To save remembering to do manually, Xero could automatically send payslips as soon as the payrun is created/clicked.

UK Payroll Reports - Option to export to Excel
P11 PAYE & P11 NIC annual reports, need to have an option to export as Excel, instead of auto downloading as a webpage.
My auditor requested these in Excel format and there was not an option for this, it would make it much easier if these type of reports could have download options, so you could export to excel.
This will also allow usage for tracking and internal auditing.
Yes, you could copy all and paste into excel, but this isn't always reliable as sometimes it will paste it all in to one cell, (which is a pain to fix)…1 voteHey Sam, thanks for sharing this idea.
As you’ve found, it’s not possible to export the P11 reports in excel format. Totally understand that copying and pasting details from the .html file is a time-consuming process!
Just curious if there’s specific information required in the P11 reports that’s unavailable in our other reports?
You can find much of the same information in the ‘Gross to Net’ and ‘Payroll Activity Detail / Summary’ reports, and they do support saving as an excel file.

Reconciliation - Upload PDF statements for reconciliation
Ability to reconcile a bank account based on a pdf. This would be beneficial for our Australia Post Everyday Mastercard that does not covert to other formats.

Please update the wording of icon in an employees payroll from "reset payslip" to "reset individuals payroll"
The reset is for use to "refresh" really and nothing to do with a payslip.

Global Pay Run - Include additional employee fields
Add a few more fields for employees such as Date of Birth, start date, Position, Next of Kin, and the ability to have more than one bank account per employee. These are nice HR fields which make a simple payroll system just a little bit better.

Gusto integration - Change sync to avoid creating multiple bills
We create contractor bills within Xero as a way to view and track upcoming bills, but we pay them through Gusto. When we make the Gusto payment, Gusto generates its own bill in Xero, leading to duplication.
As a current workaround, we delete the Xero bill once Gusto posts the payment transaction in Xero. At that time, we also attach PDFs of the invoices from the contractors to the Gusto bills.
Can you provide a way to prevent these duplicate bills?

AU Timesheets: Add notes to each earnings line
Xero does not have a function that will allow your employees to include a note under each timesheet input.
Multiple time slots per day will need a note/description box.

UK Payroll - Change pension auto enrolment percentages
The ability to change auto enrolment percentages when a new staff member first is assessed and paid. A staff member has negotiated a higher employer percentage and I know we can change it once this has been added to the payslip going forward but at the time they are assessed and going to be included in the first pay run as well as a popup which lets you postpone them it would be good to also get the option to edit their pension percentages at the same time. AU Payroll: Change default sort order of leave requests
It would be great if all the Completed leave was in order with the most recent at the top instead of having to change the order every time I need to see the most recent or scroll all the way to the bottom. I love how the rejected leave requests are now all at the bottom of the Leave list on the employee record but I'm not sure what the "Employee Surname (A-Z)" sort option is for when I'm in just one employee

Have the ability to create a leave request on behalf of an employee without approving it as Payroll Admin, and then submit the request to the Leave Approver for that employee.

AU Payroll: Allow ordinary hours to reduce below 0
Xero should reduce Ordinary hours below nil when leave requests are input for the current/previous weeks if the total leave exceeds normal ordinary hours. Eg FT employee 38hrpw is off all current week on leave in addition to 7.6hrs for a day last week not previously processed. Currently, in this situation Xero will not reduce Ordinary hours below Nil and would pay the employee 45.6hours as leave. A manual adjustment is needed to reduce Ordinary hours to minus 7.6hrs to correctly pay the employee.

AU Payroll - Duplicate pay items
Function to duplicate a pay rate category.
For example, we have 1st, 2nd and 3yr apprentices, all on different base rates of pay, plus they also have different rates of pay for day shift, night shift, working on site, working in the workshop etc. XERO doesnt allow me to only calculate super on ordinary hours when i have so many different pay categories as it cant determine just 'ordinary hours"... so for each of those rates i need to have sub categories.... UK Payroll: Include opted-out employees in PAPDIS pension file
PAPDIS Pension reports for submission should include ALL employees not just those who have not opted out as the pension provider (creative) I submit to need all the information as they do the pension assessment on everyone every month. I have to manually edit the csv downloaded every month which can lead to mistakes.
