Money in/out graph from the contact overview Why removed?
Why has this been removed? I genuinely can't understand any good reason for doing so from a Xero user perspective. Please reinstate as soon as possible! It is such a helpful, immediate visual tool to be able to qet a quick insight into a client, or suppliers, payment history and patterns of behaviour. It highlights immediately where there may be gaps and is something I (and others in our business) make use of on a daily basis. 59 votesHi everyone, before the change we’d received feedback that customers found that there was no way to drill down into which transactions made up the amounts in the Money In/out graph to understand it in more detail. We designed pre-filtered sections and transaction category tabs where you can search and filter for specific transactions over a chosen period of time to allow you to see specific data you’re looking for.
Another way for users to see similar information would be to look at the Income and Expenses by Contact report. Please note the report shows all income and expenses even when they are not paid. However unlike the graph, the report does enable you to drill down to individual transactions and export data.
The product team are listening to your feedback and are investigating options for bringing the Money In/Out graph back.

XPM - Edit staff name
Need the ability to edit staff names in practice manager as we were able to in the past. The new staff screens do not allow this. It is not reasonable to lose the history of that person if we just need to update or fix a name.

Create an additional tab in Xero tax to separate 'Client To Sign' & 'Tax Agent to Sign'.
The current 'To Sign' list is a combination of tax returns that might be out for signature with the client, or ready for the tax agent to sign. At the moment there is no way for our tax agents to tell which tax returns are ready for them to sign.

Report Codes - Custom or more User defined
We require additional report codes, particularly for financials, in the Adviser reports. More codes are needed to group and map Fixed Assets, and it's necessary to further breakdown Plant and Equipment into categories such as Furniture & Fittings and Office Equipment. We spend excessive time modifying report layouts to achieve this, and automation would be more efficient. Additional user-defined fields that are compatible with our practice would also be advantageous.

Practice Manager - Family or Sibling Relationship Type
Can we please have a general Relationship Type option for relationships such as "family" or "associate". This would be for general family relations like siblings, cousins, in-laws etc.

Manually export invoice to Xero after an export fail
The 'export invoice to Xero' manual option should be available to staff that have approve invoice permissions. When we have a 'Xero export failed' message and staff correct the error, they need to be able to push this across manually to Xero blue without requesting it from an administrator.

Practice Manager - Dashboard for client bank feed status
I'd like a dashboard showing all clients listed under our organization with all banking details as well as in the moment bank feed status (ie: is the bank feed active, does it needs to be refreshed, has it dropped). This would enable those that have many clients under their organization to work smarter to fix bank feeds as soon as they're down without delays.

Client queries - Uploading to specific line item
Xero workpaper functionality that allows clients to submit their query responses against a specific line item, rather than the paper tab. Currently, it is difficult to determine which account the supporting document is for.

Edit layout in financial reports currently remove date fields in the notes from our templates
In the last financial year, we made multiple and significant layout changes to the accounting schedules in our financial notes.
Therefore, we intend to 'Copy and Edit' most of our financial reports. However, we have found that when you 'edit layout' it removes the date field codes in our numbered notes regardless of if you edit the number notes or not - therefore losing it's auto updating feature.
As a result, we are now having to manually update the year in all of our financials, or start from scratch.

Profit & Loss Statement Format
Separate the INCOME TAX EXPENSE from the normal operating expenses in the Profit & Loss Statement. for example:
- Net Profit Before Tax
- INCOME TAX EXPENSE
- Net Profit After Tax

Xero Tax(NZ) - Losses carried forward
Losses carried forward have to be manually entered into XPM tax each year. It would be great if the information flowed through automatically from the tax return so that all we have to do is confirm it matches the IRD assessment. At a minimum it would be great if the losses to carry forward figure from 2023 automatically rolled forward to 2024 once it has been confirmed.

Bank Reconciliation: Search for transactions across all accounts
Can we have the ability to search for a transaction , by amount , payee or description across all bank accounts. Rather than having to go into each bank account and sort dates etc and than search. Having the option to choose all bank accounts, rather than an individual bank account would be awesome.

Xero Tax(AU ) | Business Schedule - Individual Worksheets
We have some clients that have multiple businesses under their personal names. Can we please have individual worksheets for each business to input income and expenses which then automatically totals into the business schedule in the main form?
At the moment in XERO tax, we need to put the grand totals into the business schedule, then split the amounts across the businesses for each expense/income line item. This is not practical as we generally receive separate figures for each business, not a grand total.

Reports - Add quantity column to reports
It isn't possible to add a quantity column to a report, nor is it possible to pull through Qty data entered in Xero or create a cell the Qty can be manually typed into.
You can add a note column but this would be to link to a section of the report pack, not a quantity loaded into Xero or a box we could manually type the quantity into. Further the notes section functionality is unable to be renamed and can only be linked to other reports in the report pack. It does not work to bring through Qty data.

Add an additional dot point to the Individual Return tax calc disclaimer:

XPM - Add multiple email addresses for client
We need the ability to add multiple email addresses for a client. Not extra Contacts, but the main email address for a client. Currently you can only enter one email address, this is the address that tax payment letters (for example) are automatically sent to. However, some clients want these to go to more than one address. We have to keep a separate spread sheet and our Tax administrator needs to manually send tax payment letters to those clients.

Retain the payment link for Kiwibank & ASB
Xero have announced that they are removing the ability to automatically send batch files across to Kiwibank & ASB on 16th November, in order to "focus our efforts to support areas of Xero that provide the most value for customers."
Speaking on behalf of my clients who actively use this feature, it's of huge value to them. It automates a process that otherwise involves manually downloading a file, logging into internet banking and uploading that file. It's even better for users who don't have internet banking access, but need to set up payment batches on behalf of those that do…

Comment field in Job Manager view
I love the new Job Manager view where you can hide or show columns as you need. I would LOVE a column for comments. For example say a job is waiting for a client to send a particular document I'd love to be able to add that in that view. Or maybe that field could show the latest note made in that job. It woudl save us having to click into the job to see what was holding it up.

XPM - Ability to favourite recurring time entries
It would be efficient to have recurring time entries to be saved as a favorite in XPM instead of having to complete all three segments about Client, Job & Task. Especially for daily recurring Internal Time entries such as Non-Billable Time for Meetings, Personal Breaks or Filing Emails etc.

Bank Feed Identification of Bank Institution
When searching for a bank institution, you all should allow for searches for the bank URL home page and also include a logo of the bank with each institution. For example, 'First Bank' has 40 different institutions and each sound similar to the next. Please consider creating better identifiers for each bank institution Xero integrates with. (QBO does this)
