  1. Currently when users take photos of receipts on the app they do not have the ability to add a note. This would be great so that the admin person coding the receipt can receive some additional detail regarding the purchase.

    Thank you for your input, everyone. Our team are currently looking into this idea. However, there's no dates planned on when the ability to add a note feature using mobile app will be released. Rest assured that we're keeping our eyes on this thread, so please continue to add your feedback and vote. For now, we'll move the status of this idea as 'Under review'.

    For the time being, you can use tags as suggested by Vicki, or send your document through email and use the format #note to add your note. If you have other options, feel free to share it 🙂.

  2. Ability to have one contact record link to multiple client records like a true CRM system would.

    Example: bookkeeper for a client is stored as a contact and may act for many other clients. Currently relationships only exist between 'clients'.

    Thank you everyone that's contributed and got involved in supporting this idea and helping our teams research.
    We're pleased to announce that we're moving the progress of this idea forward with our teams actively working on the the ability to share a contact across clients in Practice Manager. Further to this, we'll continue developments, so you can easily tidy up duplicate contacts.
    I'll be back later in the month to share as this starts rolling out and you can begin making use!

  3. Ability to have a tax estimate included in a trust tax return where there is tax payable/refundable.

    Purpose: To easily estimate and calculate Estate Tax Returns for all deceased clients.

    Appreciate all the input and support for Trust Tax Return estimates. We know this is a hot topic for many and are pleased to share that we're in the process of developing this at present with an aim to have this with you all in the coming months.

    For now we'll move the idea to working on it and will round back to keep you updated as the team edge on completing and making this available to everyone using Xero Tax in AU.

    Thanks for sharing in this idea, everyone. We understand and appreciate why you'd like to navigate back to your placing within your list of clients, however there is no work for this at present. 

    Current focus for the team is improving and enhancing syncing of clients between Practice Manager and Xero HQ.
    We'll continue to share as this work progresses and the team are able to give more attention to topical ideas like this, here.

  5. We need the ability to add multiple email addresses for a client. Not extra Contacts, but the main email address for a client. Currently you can only enter one email address, this is the address that tax payment letters (for example) are automatically sent to. However, some clients want these to go to more than one address. We have to keep a separate spread sheet and our Tax administrator needs to manually send tax payment letters to those clients.

    Thanks for your input here, everyone. Our team is currently looking into adding a document merge feature into their roadmap. However, no dates are planned for when this will be implemented. 


    That said, we’ll move the status of the idea into ‘Under review’, so please continue to add your vote and give us your comment on how this feature can improve your workflow. 


    For now, you can merge your documents outside Hubdoc, then upload/email it into Hubdoc. Feel free to also share some options here on how you merge the documents before you put it into Hubdoc.

  8. I would like to be able to add any available report into a practice Report Pack. At the moment, the available reports are limited to those within the Financial Statement realm.

    I would like to produce a report pack that had all the reports i need for my annual working papers:
    - Employee wage summary
    - Bank Rec
    - Tax depreciation report
    - GST rec reports

    etc etc.

    Next to the date of birth in Xero PM, could you do a little thingy so the age calculates and shows there?
    I've done my best Canva work in the attached to explain better!
    And chose my most favourite clients as an example :)

  12. We would like Hubdoc to convert an uploaded Bank statement into a csv file.
    So as to easily import the data into Xero to reconcile new bank accounts prior to bank feed connection.

    Hello everyone, we want to let you know that we’ve recently released the ability to convert PDF bank statements into pre-formatted CSV files in Xero (Read more on our blog for more information).

    Currently, this feature is only available in the US and Canada. We know this tool will also be valuable to other regions and we'll be sure to update you with any new information about it becoming available globally.

    We would like to request that the GST Return, GST Reconciliation and general ledger reports are able to be included in the report packs at the practice level.

    We are requesting this function to streamline reporting for periodic GST work. We would ideally have two report packs set up at the practice level that all staff can access when preparing clients GST.

  15. Capital gains tax worksheet - where an capital assets is owned by more than one person say husband and wife 50:50. If the worksheet has been prepared for one taxpayer, have an option to have this copied/ transferred to the other taxpayer similar to rent schedule.

    For property generally there could be just one item but for shares there may be huge number of CGT events.

  16. Integrate a bank statement generator into bank feeds so accountants and bookkeepers can send a request directly to the clients bank for a bank statement for quarterly bank reconciliation. Pre-approved by client when bank feed integration is setup. Alternatively, automated bank statements per quarter generated and uploaded to Xero via bank automation.

    Thanks for all the detail around the different scenarios a pause function for the timer would help with.


    Our team have been taking interest in ideas in the forums here. 

    With the way the timer works with Practice Manager today, developing the ability to pause this would require extensive work and this isn't something we're able to resource at this time.


    As we enhance integrations through practice manager our practice teams will continue to track ideas on the site here, and share if there's any change.

    When going into Xero HQ and, more specifically, when going into individual clients tab, as you are well aware there is the notes tab for that specific client. Whilst the notes tab is extremely helpful, I think something that is missing from it is the function and feature of updating all advisors on that specific clients account, about when a note has been added; whether it's by email, app, notification on the website etc.

    As a Xero user, I can admit that I don't regularly check each individual client tab and their notes. This feature would be extremely helpful,…

  20. Allow Hubdoc to publish a receipt to an existing 'BILL' in Xero without creating and new transaction and duplicating the amount. Failure to do this forces the user to upload the receipt directly into Xero files instead or opt not to use the BILL feature in Xero and publish transitions in real time from Hubdoc instead. For those wishing to have all their receipts in a magical shoe box in the cloud (Hubdoc) it appears that this would be a way forward.
