  1. Currently when users take photos of receipts on the app they do not have the ability to add a note. This would be great so that the admin person coding the receipt can receive some additional detail regarding the purchase.

    Thank you for your input, everyone. Our team are currently looking into this idea. However, there's no dates planned on when the ability to add a note feature using mobile app will be released. Rest assured that we're keeping our eyes on this thread, so please continue to add your feedback and vote. For now, we'll move the status of this idea as 'Under review'.

    For the time being, you can use tags as suggested by Vicki, or send your document through email and use the format #note to add your note. If you have other options, feel free to share it 🙂.

  2. We would like Hubdoc to convert an uploaded Bank statement into a csv file.
    So as to easily import the data into Xero to reconcile new bank accounts prior to bank feed connection.

    Hello everyone, we want to let you know that we’ve recently released the ability to convert PDF bank statements into pre-formatted CSV files in Xero (Read more on our blog for more information).

    Currently, this feature is only available in the US and Canada. We know this tool will also be valuable to other regions and we'll be sure to update you with any new information about it becoming available globally.

    For now, we’ll move the status of this idea to ‘Under review’. So keep voting and give us your input on how this feature can benefit your workflow!

  3. Just a simple one!

    Next to the date of birth in Xero PM, could you do a little thingy so the age calculates and shows there?
    I've done my best Canva work in the attached to explain better!
    And chose my most favourite clients as an example :)

  4. Currently there is only the ability to enter 4 Directors names into the Report fields in 'Advanced accounting › Report fields and schedules'
    So when we run the advisor reports, on the Director Declaration's page we have to manually type in the extra directors.
    Can you increase the fields for more than 4 directors and even more than 4 partners.

    Thanks for engaging and sharing the idea here - Having a deeper read to interpret, there's the ability to add more client report fields that can be included in your report templates yourself (such as Director 5, Director 6 etc) - See detail in our help here.

    A couple of pointers to note, are;

    • ensure you have the Edit report templates permission, then
    • add the new client report fields at Xero HQ level first; this'll make them available to add in your Report templates. Then, add the names of the directors at the client level.

    We hope this helps you overcome the idea here, let us know if this doesn't quite accomplish what you're asking.

  5. Be able to edit sent document packs.

    Purpose: for when clients ask you to send the pack to a different email address or you want to rename the document pack, or add another document.

    Hi community, thanks for your support and sharing in the idea here. Diving into your comments, there are a few different ideas that we're picking up on within this one thread;

    1. ability to change the email address/contact of a sent pack
    2. ability to add additional documents to a sent pack, and
    3. the ability to edit metadata of a sent pack

    For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address?  is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?

    Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?

    Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack…

  6. The current sync of "clients" from XPM to "contacts" of the practice Xero Blue file only updates when an invoice is sent across.

    Surely this could be made into an immediate sync, or at the very least an overnight sync?

    Given XPM doesn't integrate with a whole lot of software and doesn't integrate with Zapier, many add-ons practices use are linked with the Xero Blue file and require that data to be accurate. Debtor collection software for example, marketing software, etc, all require contact details to be accurate, and if clients change details, there can be a large delay before…

    Appreciate your feedback on the idea here. As a grounds to start from we thought it would help to confirm;

    • There is a two way sync of your clients between Practice Manager and your practice Xero organisation Contacts
    • The sync between XPM and your practice Xero organisation contacts is different - we’ve explained this more below


    Differences between Xero Practice Manager(XPM) and your practice Xero organisation sync

    • Client will sync with your organisation’s Contacts depending on your Xero connection setup - more on Xero Central
      • This is controlled by users with the Administrator role and can be set to ‘Never’, ‘Only when uploading invoices’ or ‘Every time client or supplier details are updated’
  7. Documents Pack - When you have multiple people signing a document, it can be specified the order of the people signing the documents.

  8. Currently, in the UK you can export an iXBRL file from Xero Tax but if you try to import that file into other tax software it is not compatible and creates an error message in the other software.
    This is an issue at my firm as the Tax department insists on using Alphatax for all CT Returns and this has meant that we cannot use Xero Tax to prepare statutory year-end accounts as we have to prepare the iXBRL tagging file in other software that is compatible with Alphatax.

    Thanks for your thoughts and feedback on the compatibility of the iXBRL export from Xero Tax. Our tax team are aware of this issue and are exploring possible development as part of a broader piece of work to split the workflows for accounts and corporation tax - The goal of this piece would be to add flexibility so our partners can continue to enjoy the efficiencies of Xero Tax in conjunction with their existing Corporation Tax software by calculating the tax separately. 


    We’re currently working with partners who use Alphatax, for example, to develop this.


    I'll shift the idea to Under Review and round back when there's more on this to share.

  9. Ability to merge documents in Hubdoc.

    Purpose: To easily combine separated pages of a document into one.

    Thanks for your input here, everyone. Our team is currently looking into adding a document merge feature into their roadmap. However, no dates are planned for when this will be implemented. 


    That said, we’ll move the status of the idea into ‘Under review’, so please continue to add your vote and give us your comment on how this feature can improve your workflow. 


    For now, you can merge your documents outside Hubdoc, then upload/email it into Hubdoc. Feel free to also share some options here on how you merge the documents before you put it into Hubdoc.
