Practice Manager | Client - Date of Birth
Just a simple one!
Next to the date of birth in Xero PM, could you do a little thingy so the age calculates and shows there?
I've done my best Canva work in the attached to explain better!
And chose my most favourite clients as an example :)

This is a no-brainer.
It would be so simple to add the age in brackets after the DOB eg:
28/1/1970 (54 yrs old).
This would be so beneficial to not have to manually calculate their age every time we look at the DOB.
It is a great feature in iFirm, Class, etc. Please add asap. -

Age is handy when doing Tax Planning. Super Caps, Preservation age. Likely dependents. Just easier than calculating it on the fly especially if on the phone.

This is super handy for when looking at client info and seeing the age of dependent children, or as the client is moving towards pension age for future planning, and succession planning in general.
There are also other reasons, like birthdays etc.
All-in-all it is easier to see at a glance. -

Currently just the individual DOB is listed - would be very handy if Xero auto calculated their age also.

Yes, this is important to us. We had this in our last software, Handi, and it really helped in speaking to a client to be aware of what age bracket they fall into, whether they are the father or son in a relationship (if they have the same name), whether they are still a minor or have now become an adult etc without having to do the math calculations. I can't tell you how helpful I found this function in our old system, and how much I miss it already in XPM. I assure you it can be very important for tax purposes, where so much is dependent on a client's age!
Thanks! -

Agree this is important. Allows accurate and efficient checking of the client's age when speaking with providers, preparing application forms, preparing advice strategies etc.

This is a great idea. When I used Handisoft, it had this and it was brilliant to quickly ascertain if a particular service was required due to a clients age. Old and young.

This would be extremely helpful for when a client calls to discuss matters where their age may determine the answer provided.
Having the age there will allow us to concentrate on the discussion without multi-tasking and calculating the date of birth while listening.

I agree with Kerrie's comment. Sometimes you need to know how old a client is for various reasons as advised by Kerrie - private health, super, retirement.
It would be great to be able to see it without having to calculate it from their date of birth. It is time saver but can also increase the fee base of a client and allow us to provide more personalised service for the client based on their needs. -

I would find it useful for incidental chats with clients - example - "you are almost 30, time to think about whether you commit to private hospital cover", "you are approaching age pension age, let's start planning for that" etc etc

And then Emma to have a standard Birthday report where you select the month and it gives all the clients that have a birthday in that month - the day and the age that they will be .. then we can proactively send a Happy birthday to them
