  1. In the last financial year, we made multiple and significant layout changes to the accounting schedules in our financial notes.
    Therefore, we intend to 'Copy and Edit' most of our financial reports. However, we have found that when you 'edit layout' it removes the date field codes in our numbered notes regardless of if you edit the number notes or not - therefore losing it's auto updating feature.
    As a result, we are now having to manually update the year in all of our financials, or start from scratch.
    Please make it so edit layout does not remove date fields…

  2. Xero have announced that they are removing the ability to automatically send batch files across to Kiwibank & ASB on 16th November, in order to "focus our efforts to support areas of Xero that provide the most value for customers."

    Speaking on behalf of my clients who actively use this feature, it's of huge value to them. It automates a process that otherwise involves manually downloading a file, logging into internet banking and uploading that file. It's even better for users who don't have internet banking access, but need to set up payment batches on behalf of those that do…

  3. When searching for a bank institution, you all should allow for searches for the bank URL home page and also include a logo of the bank with each institution. For example, 'First Bank' has 40 different institutions and each sound similar to the next. Please consider creating better identifiers for each bank institution Xero integrates with. (QBO does this)

  4. Be able to see the email body of the document pack that was sent or alternatively a copy of the document pack sent to the staff member who sent it to the client so that there is a record of what the email body contained.

  5. Currently when using the new reports, bookmarking a page in Xero will take us to the specific organisation that the bookmarked screen was in.

    But when using the old reports, bookmarking a page in Xero for example Balance Sheet for the year ended 30/06/2022, when i click on the bookmark link it will bring me to the Balance Sheet for the year ended 30/06/2022 for whichever organisation i am working on. This makes it easy when i'm looking at multiple entities.

    Since Xero is phasing out the old reports, can you please bring this feature into the new report?

  6. Bank Reconciliation suggestions. The ability for Xero to identify a name within a customer contact and match it to the name on the bank feed and suggest this as a match. for example John Smith is the contact for ABC pty ltd. when he makes payment he only references John Smith. Xero will recognise John smith is a contact for ABC pty ltd and suggest their invoice in the bank rec.

  7. Add a custom column similar to a custom row into reports.

    This would be used to include quantities for livestock reports, for automating % of trust distributions payable to beneficiaries prior end of June.

    This currently can't be done in reports.

  9. Hi there

    We would like to request that the GST Return, GST Reconciliation and general ledger reports are able to be included in the report packs at the practice level.

    We are requesting this function to streamline reporting for periodic GST work. We would ideally have two report packs set up at the practice level that all staff can access when preparing clients GST.

    The first report pack would be an internal review GST report pack which would include all of the reports our reviewers look at. Most of these reports we are able to add to a report pack…

  10. Would be great to copy company access rights from one staff user to another. When a staff member leaves and inherits a portfolio of clients would be great to copy client access from one client to another.

  11. Xero apps - In Xero HQ we use to have the apps under the explorer tab, to see the most popular apps and what clients are using them. It was highly useful to advise clients when an app was to cease or we were introducing an alternative to see who was using it.

    Thanks for sharing in this idea, everyone. We understand and appreciate why you'd like to navigate back to your placing within your list of clients, however there is no work for this at present. 

    Current focus for the team is improving and enhancing syncing of clients between Practice Manager and Xero HQ.
    We'll continue to share as this work progresses and the team are able to give more attention to topical ideas like this, here.

  13. Ask Queries - Automated reminders
    The ability to have automated reminders on Ask queries would save substantial time (and reduce likelihood of things getting forgotten) and reduce likelihood of having to go to an alternative paid app in order to get this functionality (eg ContentSnare)

  14. When customising a profit and loss report, the customisation should remain across the other profit and loss reports, as was the case previously. IF working on Profit and Loss, Budget Variance and Month by month with budget reports, we should not have to redesign the layout 3 times and then amend each of the 3 reports everytime something changes. The way accounts line up in these reports should be consistent.

  15. I've just set up a salary sacrifice for a cycle to work scheme in payroll. However there isn't an end date in Xero so I have to manually diarise a date to stop the salary sacrifice for the employees. Please could a box be added to automate this.

  17. Reports - Advisor Report functionality recommendations:
    1. Ability to add any report (including customized/saved/published reports) to Advisor report packages. I only see a limited selection of reports from the Add Report dropdown. I feel like I should be able to add any report I want.
    2. Ability to add separator pages easily (like "supplementary information" page) that don't have the company name/date in the header. This would also be useful for adding a letter / accountant's report on letterhead.
    3. Ability to customize the cover page for wording, layout, logo, etc.
    4. Ability to create new Advisor Report templates from…

  18. It would be useful to have the ability to mark a document pack as complete even if some of the signatures are missing.

    We have had occasions where trustees refuse to sign via document packs after the clients have already signed. We then have to print the partially signed documents and send hard copies for trustees to sign.

    This leaves the document pack incomplete. The only option available is to cancel the pack, not ideal The ability to mark the pack as complete would be a great addition.

    Hi community, thanks for your support and sharing in the idea here. Diving into your comments, there are a few different ideas that we're picking up on within this one thread;

    1. ability to change the email address/contact of a sent pack
    2. ability to add additional documents to a sent pack, and
    3. the ability to edit metadata of a sent pack

    For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address?  is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?

    Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?

    Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack…

  20. Please add in the fixed asset numbers in the new depreciation schedule. The old report had this and it made it very easy to review and reconcile. This feature is very much needed. Thanks
