  1. In Tax Statements, under Transfers tab: the "auto mark as complete" needs to happen by both amount and date. So need the ability to set the effective date for the transfer to occur, therefore if IRD does something different we are alerted.

    Currently if transfer is the same $ value or more, then Xero automatically marks as complete, this should not occur. If the $ is more then the transfer has not gone as expected and we need to be alerted to this.

  2. It would be great if ALL users (ie practice staff) in Xero HQ could see all Xero files. It should be obvious on the list which are accessible and which are not (ie if you didn't have access, the Xero org name could be greyed out)

    In terms of access, if a particular staff member did not have access to a Xero file, they should be able to request access from a HQ Administrator (with mange user access of course) which can be granted easily. Would be handy to have a 'Why' comment field so the approver knows the context…

  3. Ability to have separate and unlinked depreciation schedules available in Xero Tax a still print a depreciation report would be very useful. At times there is no requirement to link a depreciation schedule to a particular area with the tax return (it may not be relevant for the current year however is required in future years) or the schedules relates to two areas within the tax return. I have circumstances where rental assets has differing ownership percentages which causes a nightmare using the current depreciation processes.

  4. Would be very beneficial to be able to run a report listing all clients who have outstanding transfers and refunds for a period (and export it). We need to be proactive and contact the IRD before they refund the client instead of actioning a transfer as requested. In APS we could pick up any mismatch early and were able to contact the IRD or the client and rectify quickly.

  5. If a client fails to pay the first installment of provisional tax why is it then added to the next installment and then P1 shows as nothing due. This is incorrect, the amount due at P1 is still the same (per the IRD), the debt at P1 has not moved to P2. What happens for client's who have RIT over $60k?

  6. Hubdoc. Options to post to Xero are Purchase, Spend money, Invoice (AP) and credit note.
    Can we have a received money option as well please so that I can enter say bar takings from an end of day till report straight to the Tills cash reconciliation report.?

    Thanks for all your engagement on this idea. We understand that the option to post receive money transactions from Hubdoc is important to all who've supported this, however we want to be transparent that this isn't a feature we're currently working on.

  7. The ability to add share class in relationships.
    Currently you can only add the number of shares.
    However, we have a lot of companies that have different share class types (A Class, B Class, ORD Class etc).
    SUGGEST: adding a field under number of shares where you can type the share class (see attached example).

    This is a critical feature for our firm that is missing from XPM.

  9. Xero Sign: Add Template for sending packs and Add a text box option for documents within a document pack:

    Is there any way to set up an 'Email Template' message for when we send out our packs? I can't find anywhere to do this is xero or Xero HQ or Ask. We would like to set up a standardised message for your annual accounts...

    Is there a way to enter a 'text' field into a document as well as a signature?
    We send out some authority forms to clients that needs them to add their bank a/c details & a/c…

    Hi everyone, thanks for your support in the idea here. Reading over there are 2 separate requests in the one thread

    • Ability to create a default email template for sending document packs 
    • A text box on single documents in a pack 


    We have another idea that's been started around the default email template across here and I invite all those interested to add their votes. 

    For the thread here I've updated the title slightly for the Text box on individual documents so we can track the interest in each of these separately. 

  10. I'd love to have the ability to get XPM to email clients once their returns are lodged to confirmed it has been done. So many clients ask for confirmation and emailing each one takes time, a simple email from xero would be great.

  11. XPM - Lock timesheets when a draft final invoice has been prepared.
    We are having issues with staff adding time to a job when there is a draft Final invoice that has been created. Then the invoice is approved and the added WIP does not get picked up and sits on the now completed job for us to stumble over months later. It makes sense to lock the timesheets when a Final invoice has been drafted.

  12. Please add the functionality to set a cessation of trade date for a company in liquidation or in the insolvency process to allow for accounts and corporation tax returns to be produced from the last year end to the date of cessation of trade/insolvency.

    This will enable Accountants to produce these closing accounts and CT returns from HMRC and so offer a one stop shop and earn more revenue.

  13. Xero apps - In Xero HQ we use to have the apps under the explorer tab, to see the most popular apps and what clients are using them. It was highly useful to advise clients when an app was to cease or we were introducing an alternative to see who was using it.

    Appreciate the interest and hearing the use you have in seeing integrated apps your clients have connected.

    As some will have received communication of some time back - we made the hard decision to retire Explorer in Xero HQ from 12 April, 2023.

    Right now, if you'd like to see the apps a client has connected you can open the Xero organisation, go to settings and select Connected apps.

    While this is something we may consider developing elsewhere in Xero HQ down the road, it isn't in the teams plans right now. We'll continue to track interest here, and let you know if there is any change surrounding this to share. Thanks

  14. There is currently no option for tracking inventory items on Hubdoc, aside from using the tracking categories. It is very laborious having to go into each transaction on Xero, after being published from Hubdoc, and select the Tracking Inventory items which in turn when selected changes the rest of the details on the line including the description originally filled into Hubdoc!

    It would save a great amount of time to include this field in the Hubdoc 'Destination' window and for Hubdoc to retrieve the inventory Items from the company's Xero account in the same way as the 'contacts' and 'accounts'…

  15. P&L - Tracking categories (cost centres) in rows and analized per periods (in columns) . When I run this report on xero, it shows me in the same column (period and cost centre), the cost centre should be displayed in rows. Really annoying that this option does not work properly as its impossible to analyse anything.

  16. For notes made in Tax Payments: these need to be split into 2 areas, (1) notes pertaining to that provisional installment and, (2) notes that will continue to roll forward.

    It is crucial that even if the installment date has passed, the notes are still visible. Also from the main Tax Payments screen we need an indicator on the client row to show that the client has an active note (with the ability to archive a note as well).

  17. Timesheet view and function similar to outlook calendar. Where it shows your timesheet entries like meetings on your calendar.

    1. It would be quick and easy to identify gaps you are missing
    2. Being able to drag them to extend or reduce entries
    3. Being able to copy and paste an entry. Make for faster input.

  18. It would be good if you could copy and paste from a document in HUBDOC. Like you can from any pdf format document.

    eg If I enter an invoice in HUBDOC it would be good if I could go back to it and copy and paste the bank details into Xero like you can from any pdf document.

  19. When a client uploads receipts, bank statements or other items to Hubdoc via the app or sends them by email, it would be nice to be notified at the end of each day if something was added. The accounting program that our office uses emails general email when items are uploaded into our portal. This is to ensure nothing is missed or overlooked.

  20. It would be great to get a prompt or warning message that will appear when adding overlapping timesheet entries in XPM. Currently an 8hr day and end up more if time has been entered in twice....
