  2. The ability to bulk upload/import Recurring Jobs via .csv file, in the same way you can Bulk Import Jobs that are not recurring.

    This allows for each row to have the copy/paste capacity for overlapping criteria and can be quickly created through a spreadsheet (which could stem from an Export of your client list to 'schedule' your job creation throughout the year).

    One import for an entire client base would be considerably more streamlined and efficient.

  3. To be able to duplicate a contact, therefore not having to retype in the address, phone number and all other details. You would just need to rename the client and change the IRD number etc before saving. This would be a huge time saver.

    Just to clarify, when you say ‘duplicate a contact’ would this be; the ability to duplicate an entire client (including all its contacts), to duplicate a contact within an existing client, or duplicate a contact from one client to another?

    If the last, we have a similar idea over here that I can join you in with. 🙂

  4. Add a note function to each account. Similar to the queries button but just for general notes about what's in the account that doesn't need a resolution. This would be helpful near the account rather then just at the start in the job note section as it would allow quick access for others to see the note when looking at the specific account.

  5. Ability to transfer tax return link to other jobs. we have created a tax return in the wrong job or want to transfer the return to another job. Would be great if the hot link can be disconnected and reconnected to a different job.

    Hi community, thanks for your interest on this. While being able to move a Tax Return to another job is something we may look to do later, it's not in the near term plans. For now, we'll continue to collect and monitor your feedback, and share if there's any progress.

  6. This is not a simple feature request. This is a blatant fault with how Xero Tax handles asset figures.

    In this particular case we have two accounts in the book-keeping records for CIS tax, because we wish to track CIS deducted by contracted on sales and CIS deducted from subcontractors separately. Transfers are made between the accounts as appropriate when liabilities are reported for payment to HMRC.

    At the year end, we want to show this as a single balance. As the net result was an asset at the year end, we tagged both to an appropriate asset type. Instead…

    Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is aware of the challenges our partners are facing around the auto-reversal of negative balance. It’s on their roadmap to investigate and provide a better user experience.

    For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And when there's movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.

  7. Currently there is no option as was advised by your Support Team. This will help keep most Tax Returns & Activity Statements linked to the correct jobs irrespective of how & when they are created.

  9. We have noticed an error, where, when managed fund distributions are prefilled from the ATO, a zero is put in the Item 24 - Other Income

    This causes an error for each managed fund prefill that needs to be manually fixed by going in and deleting that entry in the schedule.

    I just recently had a client with 15+ managed fund imports (owned jointly with his wife, so same issue on her side) which meant I had to waste quite a bit of time going into each schedule, only to delete the zero at the bottom.

  10. Ability to send a document to a client through Xero portal, without requiring a signature. I use the Document Packs to send tax returns and financials to clients. It would be good to be able to use this function to send packs to clients that don't need a signature.

    For example: securely sending a notice of assessment to a client through xero, or sending copies of tax returns to clients that have already signed them in person.

  11. It would be great if ALL users (ie practice staff) in Xero HQ could see all Xero files. It should be obvious on the list which are accessible and which are not (ie if you didn't have access, the Xero org name could be greyed out)

    In terms of access, if a particular staff member did not have access to a Xero file, they should be able to request access from a HQ Administrator (with mange user access of course) which can be granted easily. Would be handy to have a 'Why' comment field so the approver knows the context…

  12. In Xero Tax when we save the completed tax return for the client as PDF for email, is there an option to hide other sensitive information in addition to the TFN, such as date of birth, address and bank details.

  13. The ability to add share class in relationships.
    Currently you can only add the number of shares.
    However, we have a lot of companies that have different share class types (A Class, B Class, ORD Class etc).
    SUGGEST: adding a field under number of shares where you can type the share class (see attached example).

    This is a critical feature for our firm that is missing from XPM.

  15. I love the new Job Manager view where you can hide or show columns as you need. I would LOVE a column for comments. For example say a job is waiting for a client to send a particular document I'd love to be able to add that in that view. Or maybe that field could show the latest note made in that job. It woudl save us having to click into the job to see what was holding it up.

    Hi community, thanks for your input in this idea. A comment field in Job Manager is something that our product team would like to explore, however there are other items that need their attention at this time.

    For now, we'll move this back to submitted, and will update when there are any further changes to share on this with you all, here.

  16. I'd love to have the ability to get XPM to email clients once their returns are lodged to confirmed it has been done. So many clients ask for confirmation and emailing each one takes time, a simple email from xero would be great.

  17. When entering in the Franking Account in a tax return, you should be able to reorder the rows if you enter a date that is not in chronological order. Or alternatively, the system should be smart enough to re-order the rows based on date.

  18. It would be great if we could bulk update data (default fields and custom fields) and have options on how we want to update the data.

    For example, if we want to update the 'Manager' field, we could choose to base this on the group or client, and:
    - Update all groups/clients to John; or
    - Update all groups/clients that are currently Sam to John, and have a check box to untick any groups/clients that are to be excluded; or
    - Update by manual selection - tick/untick the groups/clients that require the update.

  19. Xero Sign: Add Template for sending packs and Add a text box option for documents within a document pack:

    Is there any way to set up an 'Email Template' message for when we send out our packs? I can't find anywhere to do this is xero or Xero HQ or Ask. We would like to set up a standardised message for your annual accounts...

    Is there a way to enter a 'text' field into a document as well as a signature?

    Hi everyone, thanks for your support in the idea here. Reading over there are 2 separate requests in the one thread

    • Ability to create a default email template for sending document packs 
    • A text box on single documents in a pack 


    We have another idea that's been started around the default email template across here and I invite all those interested to add their votes. 

    For the thread here I've updated the title slightly for the Text box on individual documents so we can track the interest in each of these separately. 

  20. It would be great to get a prompt or warning message that will appear when adding overlapping timesheet entries in XPM. Currently an 8hr day and end up more if time has been entered in twice....
