  1. In Xero Tax when we save the completed tax return for the client as PDF for email, is there an option to hide other sensitive information in addition to the TFN, such as date of birth, address and bank details.

    Thanks for sharing and engaging with product ideas here. We appreciate the desire to run more reports in Xero in a different currency.

    To confirm what is currently available in Xero for multi currency reporting - Right now the aged reports will run in the organisation's base currency. However, for any invoice or bill that has been created in a foreign currency you'll see an icon next to that line in your report which provides notation of the exchange rate details, and these will all be listed at the bottom of the report.

    With the Payable and Receivable summary and detail reports you can add an 'Original currency' column along with other foreign exchange details.

    It's also possible to add a filter to these reports to only show invoices of a particular status for example Awaiting payment.

    I know this doesn't accomplish all that's being asked in this idea and…

  3. It would be a great help if we could update status for a job as and when the timesheet is done.
    At the moment we go to each job and update the status at the end of the day. In my opinion this would save lot my time hovering around.
    I have attached a screenshot in pdf to better explain.

  5. Add Last Items on Hubdoc invoices - lines to be populated in the same order as the previous one. And/or enable the function to rearrange the line items on a multiple line invoice in Hubdoc (like you can in Xero).

  7. Hubdoc - Allow Hubdoc to read a link in the email.

    When invoices are received via email and the invoice is not attached, but there is a link to open the invoice and save as a PDF. Alot of clients on Xero send their invoices this way. Would be good if either in Xero or Hubdoc you could read the invoice.

  8. Hubdoc should automatically correct the rotation of documents. Sometimes, particularly for photographs, documents are uploaded with incorrect rotation. Hubdoc must know the correct rotation because it is scanning the text. Why not fix the rotation so that the text is the right way up?

  10. If a client fails to pay the first installment of provisional tax why is it then added to the next installment and then P1 shows as nothing due. This is incorrect, the amount due at P1 is still the same (per the IRD), the debt at P1 has not moved to P2. What happens for client's who have RIT over $60k?

    Hi community, we appreciate hearing your interest around the reports that would be useful for you to use in Report Templates.

    We have decided to split the request for Payroll reports and the Tracking Summary report as it is unlikely these would both be added at once.

    You'll find the new idea for the Tracking Summary report across here and this one will remain centered around Payroll reports.

    We want to be honest that we don't have any plans at this stage for adding payroll reports to Report Templates. But, our product teams are aware of the interest surrounding this and we'll let you know if there is any progress on this idea.

  12. For manually uploaded receipts, the ability to edit the vendor and category in bulk would be be a big time saver.

  15. It would be great if we could bulk update data (default fields and custom fields) and have options on how we want to update the data.

    For example, if we want to update the 'Manager' field, we could choose to base this on the group or client, and:
    - Update all groups/clients to John; or
    - Update all groups/clients that are currently Sam to John, and have a check box to untick any groups/clients that are to be excluded; or
    - Update by manual selection - tick/untick the groups/clients that require the update.

  16. This is not a simple feature request. This is a blatant fault with how Xero Tax handles asset figures.

    In this particular case we have two accounts in the book-keeping records for CIS tax, because we wish to track CIS deducted by contracted on sales and CIS deducted from subcontractors separately. Transfers are made between the accounts as appropriate when liabilities are reported for payment to HMRC.

    At the year end, we want to show this as a single balance. As the net result was an asset at the year end, we tagged both to an appropriate asset type. Instead…

    Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is aware of the challenges our partners are facing around the auto-reversal of negative balance. It’s on their roadmap to investigate and provide a better user experience.

    For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And when there's movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.

  17. To be able to duplicate a contact, therefore not having to retype in the address, phone number and all other details. You would just need to rename the client and change the IRD number etc before saving. This would be a huge time saver.

    Just to clarify, when you say ‘duplicate a contact’ would this be; the ability to duplicate an entire client (including all its contacts), to duplicate a contact within an existing client, or duplicate a contact from one client to another?

    If the last, we have a similar idea over here that I can join you in with. 🙂

  18. When preparing future year return, in my case, FY2025 tax return for one individual client, even though it shows 2025 tax year, Xero tax is actually FY2024 tax rate for calculation. So the result is not accurate. Will Xero Tax fix this issue in the future?

  19. Similar to ability to restrict access to Xero Tax, its critical if we can have the ability to restrict access to certain client details. Currently you can search for any client details and there is no way to restrict access to this information. This functionality would be extra help for partners & staff members who are also clients of the firm.

    We understand the varying levels of access different staff need can differ client-to-client.

    With the new client and staff permissions that'll be coming soon through the Xero Partner Hub, you'll get more control and granularity to assigning staff permissions to clients.

  20. Hubdoc. Options to post to Xero are Purchase, Spend money, Invoice (AP) and credit note.
    Can we have a received money option as well please so that I can enter say bar takings from an end of day till report straight to the Tills cash reconciliation report.?

    Thanks for all your engagement on this idea. We understand that the option to post receive money transactions from Hubdoc is important to all who've supported this, however we want to be transparent that this isn't a feature we're currently working on.
