    It would be great to have a running record of client history in XPM, showing the date and person who, including but not limited to:
    - created the client
    - edited client details
    - archived client
    In a large firm over multiple offices, it would be easier to know who to contact if there are questions about details are entered into XPM, and keep XPM as a CRM up to date.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing on your needs for a comprehensive client audit trail in XPM. We understand this feature is critical for accountability and data integrity, and we hear you on the pain points this is causing.

    As you might've read and heard updates of our teams are currently working on a unified experience across practice tools with the Xero Partner Hub.

    History of client changes aren't wrapped into the initial work, but this is something the team would like to look at longer term and for now we'll move the idea to Accepted. Once Xero Partner Hub is fully released we can consider and will share any updates around history with you all here

  2. I'm completing my first Trust ITR for 2024, and inputting info into the new Trust Income Schedule.

    The Non-PP income flows through to Item 8, but the Capital Gain isn't flowing through to Item 21...

    WHY do you insist on SO MUCH double entry??!?

    It's not even throwing an error, like the 'Managed Fund' schedule does in an Individual ITR??

    Appreciate the conversations here. The other idea linked in this conversation that we delivered on was the ability for information to flow from the Trust Return(TRT) to Individual Returns(ITR) which is facilitated with the Trust Income Schedule.

    We appreciate wanting to see further improvement in this space, and this is something we have intentions of looking at in the future, however we don’t have any timeframe right now. I’ll be sure to share any news with you all here.

  3. Within XPM there are fields for individuals in the Tax section of Client with UTR and National Insurance number. It is not possible to import and upload to them, this would be useful as they then link to Xero Tax when filing a tax return. Currently we have them stored in a custom field as these weren't available originally. It would be good to be able to import all of our custom fields to the system's UTR and NINO fields.

It’s clear that the ability to import Unique Taxpayer References (UTR) and National Insurance Numbers (NINO) is important to you, and we hear the pain points about the extra manual work involved in not having this feature. A possible workaround is using a custom field for now, which can help keep this data within Xero Practice Manager. ⭐I wanted to provide an update on this. At Xerocon, we announced new developments for Xero Practice Manager and Xero HQ that are designed to improve efficiency and help you manage clients more effectively.   4. Capital gains tax worksheet - where an capital assets is owned by more than one person say husband and wife 50:50. If the worksheet has been prepared for one taxpayer, have an option to have this copied/ transferred to the other taxpayer similar to rent schedule.

    For property generally there could be just one item but for shares there may be huge number of CGT events.

    Hiya team, we had high hopes but unfortunately we've had to put plans for being able to copy & transfer the Capital Gains Tax(CGT) worksheet down for the intermediary.

    We still intend to bring focus to this idea over the longer term but will shift this idea back to Submitted for now until we can begin active development. As soon as there's more word to share I'll be back with an update, here

  5. Ability to transfer customised reports between practices or other businesses. Currently this is not possible so if a client changes accounting practices then reports do not follow. This is expensive for the client for reports to be redone and totally unnecessary given that all the formatting necessary already exists on another system.

    Hi community, thanks for all the energy and great conversation on this idea. We recognise the passion for making reporting in Xero better for your needs.

    Wee understand that rebuilding report templates for each individual client or entity is time-consuming, and the current option of using Report Templates in Xero HQ mapping of the chart of accounts can be tricky to apply to different client files. However, we want to front foot that enabling the ability to transfer reports across practices or organisations isn't planned in the near term.

    We'll continue to review and consider this idea in the longer term and if this work is picked up will be more than happy to share an update with you all, here.
