Practice Manager - Re-ordering of tasks on a job
XPM has been updated recently (April 2025) and the update has removed the re-ordering of tasks function. We used the re-ordering function to put all tasks in chronological order e.g. monthly payroll tasks, VAT returns, year end accounts were all arranged in date order. Since the update all the re-ordering that we have completed on jobs have been changed and now all tasks are non-chronological and in a jumbled order. This is very frustrating. Please could Xero re-instate the ability to re-order tasks as required? These changes are a backwards step.

Please reinstate this functionality. I can’t believe it was removed in an update – it’s essential for adding unforeseen tasks to a project at a later stage. It seems inconsistent that the functionality is still available when creating an estimate but not within projects.

I don't understand why an update would be done and not include these important basic features. Why not update once everything has been completed/updated correctly?!! Extremely frustrating!

I agree with the above - also, I would like for the reordering of tasks to filter through to existing jobs when using the 'clock' icon for posting timesheets.

Please can we have the ability to reorder tasks in the "new look" XPM. this was available in the old interface, and was extremely useful.

In the job list screen, it would be great if you could either customise the "priority" so that jobs appear in the order that you need to complete them or if you could simply move them to the order that you would like to complete them in.
