  1. New invoicing...Very slow page load speeds to both open/create a new invoice on the new invoicing platform...and also to add a payment.

    Current wait time is 15-20 seconds per page load.

    Ive cleared cache and cookies to no avail

    Appreciate the short videos and can see what you're saying, Chris - Have you raised a case with our Xero Support team about the slowness in loading?

    Actual slowness in the page loading are issues that we'd like to dig into deeper as they aren't occurring for all users so it'd be good to be able to investigate one on one with our Xero Support team who can escalate if needed. Thanks

  2. Currently trying to use the new invoicing, but I'll start typing a contact name then tab across before seeing the contact pop up, since I use this contact daily. Under the old invoicing, it would just find the contact once I hit tab. Under the new invoicing, a new contact is created. And since the invoice is saved immediately, this new contact is also saved, so once I finish with the invoice, I then need to go and archive the contact that was created.
    Can we change the defaults or something to fix this?

  3. Can we have an option to print to pdf statements in landscape as well as portrait?
    for example the screen in xero when I look at the statement shows the invoice reference in full but when you download this to PDF the reference gets shortened. This is an issue when the reference is a PO number and then you don't see all the PO number on the PDF version, for some customers they will not accept the PDF statement because of this

  4. Dont automatically open a new tab when clicking the contact link in the new invoice or give option to turn this off.
    There is Alt+click shortcut on all browsers to do this already.
    Making this auto open as default leads to too many unnecessary tabs and attributing to a more messy workflow

    Appreciate your feedback, Ximenes. To better understand your idea here, can you share what you would like to happen when you click on this link? E.g would you expect this to open the contact in the same page and shift away from the invoice?

  6. Thanks for fixing Over payments in the new system - works great! - 1 adjustment - the account menu pops - UP not Down, and bank accounts are off the top of the screen need a lot of scolling, can you change to normal pop-down please? (like the Date Paid menu)

  7. The new invoicing doesn't work properly with Projects! A disaster for me this morning - trebled the time it takes to do my weekly Projects invoices. When it falls over because it can't find the GL Code to use, and doesn't even have subtotal and total fields....did someone forget about that when they were adding all the new empty space on the screen and screwing the work flow up?

    Hi Karen, this does sound like odd behaviour and would be good to get a closer look into. I see you've also come into our Xero Support team and they've suggested booking a time to connect and share screen so they can see the behaviour occurring for you. If you can respond to them through your My Cases they can investigate this with you 1-on-1. Thanks

  9. On the PDF invoices, Xero automatically CAPITALIZES the entire town/city name, even in my custom invoicing template. It looks unprofessional and I want it to go away. I've avoided this by typing all new addresses on the first line, but I have imported hundreds of contacts into Xero and I don't want to go in and change every single one of them.

  10. I have noticed that when you are preparing to send an invoice via email in Xero that you can now add new addresses in the TO, CC and BCC lines. This is great.

    However, I have noticed that ALL contacts are available to add here. It would be safer to only allow the contact email addresses associated with the contact name on the invoice. It is too easy to add the wrong address and potentially send invoice information to the wrong client.

    If other people needed to do this, perhaps a tick box could be applied to allow ALL CONTACTS…

  11. Invoice and bill due dates to default to issue date.

    As above. Basically when you enter the initial date of an invoice or a bill, the due date defaults to the date you have entered. This will save additional data entry if your dates are the same.

    In the case of a franchise where Remits are sent via a supporting booking software, the invoice/bill due date is always the same as the issue date.

    Please default the due date to the invoice date once selected. but still obviously give the option to change the due date to a user specified…

  12. Invoicing - Allow Email scheduling to send invoices

    While I like all the features in the invoicing, I don't understand why email scheduling hasn't been included in the makeover. We typically send our invoices out at the beginning of the month (on the 1st if a workday) in which the work/service commences. However, work can be confirmed a few months ahead of that and we usually create invoices once the work is confirmed.   13. Need to be able to customise Packing Slip into a delivery note or have a completely separate delivery note. Delivery note requires its own number and suffix and email template. Our invoices won't be accepted unless a delivery note is sent. At the moment this is done manually. Delivery note is very similar to your packing slip but it must say delivery note and would be easier if it could just be sent directly out of your system.

  14. New Invoicing - Show ABN details with Client details in the "To" section of the invoice. All other information is there for reference, excluding the ABN.
    To view the ABN details, you need to leave the invoice screen and go to Contacts.

  15. When creating a new Bill, and after uploading the invoice then viewing the attached invoice, the attached invoice displays on top of the bill entry form. This is very frustrating.

    Please change to display the attached invoice to the left of the form, same as is the case when opening a draft Bill that was created by emailing Xero.

  16. Recent changes have gutted our ability to operate under two distinct business names (Branding) under the same Xero account. Our Xero organization name and address is now included by default (and without the option to hide it) on Invoice emails and on Payment acceptance links. This was previously not the case.

    This completely breaks branding for us, and I'm not quite sure why this change was made. What is the point of having branding at all of we can't control what organization details are provided to the customer? Support suggested I open another Xero account. That's not an option -…

  18. Recently half of the emails I thought I had sent were 'unable to be sent'. I had no idea until I became worried why my usually reliable clients had not paid me on time. After looking I saw this message on the 'History' trail.

    My suggestion is that where an error occurs like this there is a significant error message signal e.g. a box comes up or things are highlighted in red and bold.

    Cashflow is the lifeblood of any business and if the system is unable to send an invoice this could have serious ramifications for Xero clients.

  19. It would be great to be able change the e-mail address where files or bills are sent to Xero to simplify it?

    Currently the e-mail address is long and without context and cannot be linked to a specific client outside of Xero in for example Outlook or Gmail.

    An "alias" e-mail address would be helpful.
