Reporting customisation - M1 - Medicare levy exemption' and 'M2 - Medicare levy surcharge' are not available.
We would like to be able to generate a report that would capture all clients that are entitled to Medicare levy exemption.

Bills to Pay - Remove 'New bill' drop down
With the "new look" bills having been implemented, all the different bill options are under a drop down where you select new bill, new CN, new repeating etc.
I appreciate that this looks tidier or something, but when you're inputting about 20 CNs, having to go through the dropdown for each of them is really tedious.
Also: after approving a bill there's an option to add another bill directly, but that doesn't happen if the bill is submitted for approval or saved as draft. Can this be implemented?There is also no option to go straight to a new CN…
2 votesHi there, I know it's been sometime since you first raised your idea with us here, and as you may have noticed there have been a lot more changes within the bills to pay space that improve flows and efficiency in managing your bills.
It'd be good to hear back if you're finding these changes have improved things for you when entering and managing bills - For example rather than approving individual bills, with the quick view you can now quickly scan the detail and approve single or multiple bills at once from the list view, and with New bill drop down available on this same screen, you can + New credit note without extra clicks.

Bills - Attachments from repeating bill template to be linked to generated bills
Attachments in repeating bills are not attached to the actual bills when Xero creates the bill.
If the repeating bill is deleted, the link of the repeating bills will be broken and we cannot get the attachment in the repeating bill.so I suggest
1. having the attachment in the repeating bill attach to the actual bill when Xero create the bill; or
2. have an archive function for repeating bills that are expired so that the actual bill can still be have a link to the repeating bill to find the attachment.Attachments such as working or scanned bills…

Projects - Add Project Start Date and the Name of who started it.
Projects- Add date project is started in xero and the name of who started it. This will help us to be able to determine how many days a job took from order date to completion.
We will also be able to tell who started the project if we need further information about it. Something like the 'History and Notes' in the Invoices, where there is a record of who generated the 'Project' and on what date and who makes changes along the way would be perfect. Quotes - View all outstanding/back order items for all of a customer's quotes
When entering a quotation, is it at all possible to do a selection per customer so that we can print out a "back order"list from the quotation. This will enable us to see the customer's name and description for all outstanding orders. Then we dont have to go into each and every quote seperately?

Purchase Orders - Option to move back to Draft status
Purchase orders should be able to go from approved back to draft inside XERO so that integration to other stock systems does not fail when changes are made in 3rd party stock management systems.

Projects: Update inventory when a tracked inventory item is added as an expense
Update inventory when it is posted as an expense to a project as this makes more sense as clients use the project reports to calculate WIP and it is annoying to have to constantly check which inventory figures have been applied and deduct this from the inventory. It also means when projects are billed this actually reduced the stock figure as this only happens when you invoice the project for the tasks and expenses whereas currently invoicing using the project amount does not update the inventory.

Inventory - Airtable Integration
It would be great if there was Inventory integration with Airtable (Airtable.com) to keep proper adjustment of our inventories. It’s a much easier to use system, for small business, that needs less support.

Projects - Ability to assign expenses to individual tasks
It would be great to have a way of linking expenses on a project to an individual task so your invoices and quotes are much more streamlined and broken down into the tasks (especially when working on larger projects with many tasks and expenses)
Something along the line of:
when entering an estimated expense/expense into the project as well as having all the current tabs, having a another tab to 'assign to task' . When generating a quote/invoice you will then only have the task name and it will have combined the hours and materials listed.12 votes -

Want to create a AFI file in Xero to collect payments directly from my client's via direct debit.
9 votesHi 👋 you can set up direct debit payment services with GoCardless which enables more seamless payment collection from your customers.
Being rather security conscious we don't have any plans for enabling export of this sort of information from Xero any time in the near future and you may want to explore other options like the GoCardless integration for now.
We'll keep an eye on the interest for this here.

Invoice Only Access - View Contact History
Users with the Invoice Only (Approve and Pay) role should be able to view historic invoices/credite notes/bills for a customer or supplier within their contact page.

Custom Report - Ability to create formula with any column
Custom Reports
The formula feature only appears to work for columns that are located to the left of the formula column.
Each column has a name, surely the name is the important element and not the position of the column on the report.
Can the formula feature be amended so that columns from anywhere in the report can be included6 votes -
Account transactions - Credit note/payment allocation to be supplemented by document number
I need CN and (over)payment allocation lines in Account Transactions to be supplemented by invoice number as unique document number. Currently, there is a link through Reference, but Reference might not be unique entry, and so tracking credit note allocation is not impossible. Thanks.

Sales Invoice - Auto save draft email when sending
When amending the email which is sent when sending an invoice, I sometimes accidentally touch the screen, causing the screen to swipe down, losing the message. If you swipe down on the email, could this not be saved as a draft with the draft invoice, so I don’t have to start again?
2 votesUnderstand the nuance, Jason. Do you often find yourself sending personalised emails with each invoice? If something a little more generic or widely used perhaps it could be worth setting this up as an email template?

Invoice Payments: Support for additional GoCardless accounts
Please can we have the functionality to add more than one gocardless account to one organisation? We have a client account where funds are directed to a trust account under one account and then our normal gocardless account and would be great to be able to include both sets of transactions (at the moment we have one linked and the other is updated manually at the end of the month.)

Expenses Claims Detail Report - Include approver
I would like to be able to run a report on expense claims which shows who has approved them at a glance, like a payable invoice report . At the moment, you have to open each and every claim to see who has approved it.

Quotes - Reduce number of steps to create and send
New quote screen has created a lot of extra steps in creating quotes
i.e.
- moved buttons out of intuitive workflow space
- save button now hidden at top right instead of at bottom of quote
- quote numbers less visible once saved
- sending a saved quote takes a lot more stepsUnderstand the need for new framework but the workflow changes have made creating quotes longer and more complicated. Thanks.

Organisation Settings | Rounding - Option to exclude decimals and automatically round
Have option to remove decimals entirely. I.e. Have no ability to input decimals and where calculations are done, e.g. VAT, to round off.
