  1. Create the ability to send statements to multiple customers at the same time. Having to go to each customer to send a statement is VERY time consuming and labor intensive. Create a way to list the customers that don't have a zero balance with the ability to check the customers to send statements to. The user could edit the text of the email one time and it could be sent to all customers checked. This would help a LOT!

    You can send out statements to multiple customers by starting from the Sales Overview menu.

    To do this, select 'Sales Overview' from the Business dropdown, then click the Send Statements button. This will allow you to select multiple customer statements to send at once 😊

    It's already possible in Xero to customise the look and feel of your quotes, as well as invoices, credit notes, customer statements and purchase orders 😀

    You'll need to use an 'Advanced invoice template' for more in-depth customisation, such as including terms or a cover page.

    HI everyone, thanks for your engagement and support here. I know it's been a while since we updated and I'm pleased to be able to share the improvements we've made to add Invoice Number and Invoice Reference as optional columns to the Project Details report😁

    When you next open the report, use the 'Columns' option to add each of these detail. You'll also find you can now Filter by either option too!

    Tax adjustment functionality varies by region, as this idea was raised relating to adjusting VAT in the UK I'm popping in to switch it across to delivered!

    To adjust the tax amount for a line item when creating a bill:

    1. Select the Tax exclusive option in the Amounts are field
    2. Click the + symbol next to the Tax Rate heading to show the Tax amount field.
    3. Edit the amount shown in the Tax Amount box.

    Our Adjust the VAT amount on unpaid transactions support article provides further information on this process.

    We have ideas for this similar option in the AU version here, and another for NZ here that you can follow for updates. For other regions, you’re welcome to create a new idea so we can gauge user need for this.

In the new bills to pay draft screen even though I search for a particular supplier or filter alphabetically so I can find a certain supplier when I go into the first one and approve & view next instead of giving me the next one of that supplier (the filter I have on) it goes to the next date. I need to approve a lot of invoices and it is much quicker to do by supplier and be able to go straight to the next one. I could do this in the old bills to pay drafts but can't in…

    Hi community, thanks for sharing your needs with us in product ideas here. As you may have seen we've released some new features in the bills space and you should find our new quick view of a bill solves for what you're after here.

    With quick view you can easily filter for a supplier, then view each draft bill for that contact before bulk approving all bills at once. Simply click the downward arrow above the bill in the side view to move onto the next. 🥳

  7. While importing bills from QB in bulk, it would be a great time-saver if Xero could automatically Approve the bills while being imported. Currently they go to the Draft folder.

    Hi team, coming back across this idea, and with quite some time since it's last interaction we're going to, move the idea to delivered with the previous option suggested the best options here.

    Xero Partner's have access to a Conversion toolbox when setting up a client orgs which'll allows them to import invoices and bills as any status.

    However if you're not a Xero Partner, while bills import as draft, it's quite easy to bulk approve imported draft bills from the list view of the Draft tab - Just select all the bills you'd like and click the Approve option

  8. It would be great to be have the option of a "related account" or "split" in the Account Transactions Report, so that you can see the other half of the transaction (opposing debit or credit) without having to click on the transaction to view the full detail.

    You can select 'Related Account' from the Columns drop down in the Account Transactions report to include this information.

    I've attached a screenshot as an example 😊

  9. Add the ability to "Drag and Drop" files for upload. Currently we have to save a PDF to then upload from the computer - more often than not we have these files in emails. It would be ideal if we could drag and drop the file into the upload box

  10. Currently: In new invoicing we are provided with suggested items when completing fields such as "To:".
    Using Enter at this points selects that highlighted suggestion, but using Tab ignores the highlighted item.

    Request: Enable Tab to be used in new invoicing to confirm a highlighted selection. The same function as Enter currently provides within this context.
    Tab is an active keyboard option in other areas of Xero such as Bank Reconciliations so this would keep the UI more consistent.

    Hi team, we recently made a change to the tabbing behaviour, so now when you tab to a field and highlight an option, tabbing to the next field will hold the selection that was highlighted.

    For example pressing Tab in the 'To' field will hold the highlighted contact, and move you onto the 'Issue date' field.

  11. I can not fine any answer on the web or searching on xero to see if this is possible. I have tried the app but there does not seem to be an option. The xero app would be amazing if we were able to raise a PO. We store product from our supplier and being able to send them a PO at the time of picking would greatly reduce handling of the matter by not having to send an email for it to be raised.     Hi community, thanks for staying tuned with us here.
    For all those on iOS we're pleased to share that this is now live for you all just like Android - you can add Purchase Orders and edit existing Purchase Orders from within the Xero Accounting app.

    There isn't any ability to send from within the app at present - Start a new idea for this, or another feature you'd like to see in the Xero Accounting app. That way we can begin to get a better idea of the appetite of those, too! 

  12. HMRC's guidance on invoices in currencies other than GBP, found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/foreign-currency-transactions-vat-and-tour-operators lists specific requirements that need to be met when creating an invoice in a currency other than GBP, namely:
    1. "the total net value of goods and services at each VAT rate" needs to be shown in GBP (as well as in the foreign currency)"
    2. "the amount of VAT, if any, at each rate" needs to be shown in GBP (as well as in the foreign currency)"

    Hi all, apologies we've not responded here before now. Checking in with our team on this our current invoice templates do accommodate what's needed here.

    With the standard invoice template you can select to 'Show currency conversion as' 'Net amounts with tax totals', which display a currency conversion table with the net amounts and tax grouped by tax rates or tax components. A base currency equivalent is also included. You can see more information on displaying currency conversion on Xero Central.

    We also provide a highly customisable DOCX invoice template that can be used to provide more detail if you choose.

  13. When entering a quotation, is it at all possible to do a selection per customer so that we can print out a "back order"list from the quotation. This will enable us to see the customer's name and description for all outstanding orders. Then we dont have to go into each and every quote seperately?

  14. The short-term cash flow projection should allow 2 weekly/fortnightly expense predictions (instead of just weekly and monthly predictions). The current absence of this feature currently results in incorrect cashflow forecasts (e.g. we pay wages every two weeks, so the timing of our wages prediction is always incorrect).

    Thanks for your feedback, it's good to hear how you're using short term cashflows.

    Predictions within Short-term cash flows should be generated for recurring amounts based on the last 3 months. 

    Our tool looks for weekly, fortnightly and monthly payments - the dates, amounts and contact have to be fairly consistent each time for a prediction to be generated.

    If you do find you're not seeing predictions you'd expect to appear for fortnightly payments do raise a case with our team of specialists so we can take a deeper dive into why this may not be showing in Short-term cash flows. Thanks 

  15. Have a ribbon/menu across the top of the screen with the ability to pin a “button” that links to your most frequently used windows - eg bills to pay drafts window , or the reconcile window of the most used bank feed, or a report you run daily

    1. There should be an option so that we can arrange bills/invoices according to suppliers /customers when processing bills/invoices just like in dext .And next option should be included in both archive and during processing bills/invoices.
    2. Split and merge option should be included when processing bills/invoices. 3 There should be a filter for credit note, overpayment and prepayment in archive invoices.

    In relation to invoices, you'll find when approving invoices you can Approve and view next or Approve and add another.

    Hey community, just popping in with a quick update to let you know that export is now available in the History & Notes Report 🎉

    As part of an update that also released for Payroll history this week, you'll now see an export button in the top right corner of the History and Notes report, and can choose between a PDF or Excel export of your full, filtered set of results.

    Hi Kyle, the product team have been working on improving this area and have released a new invoice preview for the PDF. This will display any details you have included in the selected invoice template, so should display the customer's VAT/GST/Sales Tax number if you've included that. We hope this helps!

    From your description, it sounds like Tracked Inventory in Xero would accomplish this 😊

    Tracked inventory maintains a live count of your stock on hand, allowing you to report on stock quantity and value. You can read more about it here.
