  1. The highest Xero subscription allows you to make 10 bill payments through Crezco and then you pay a fee per bill. This is a pain, as I now have to approve each 24p fee.
    Please can I buy Crezco payments upfront?

  2. Cancel a Draft Invoice from Invoice Screen (rather than delete which loses the invoice number). Another user made this same suggestion and the Xero response was to hit the delete button and they then closed down the comments/voting option. However, her point was that if you cancel out of the invoice then the invoice number you cancelled out of is still usable, whereas hitting delete means the invoice number is no longer usable. Why has the cancel button been completely removed and only the delete function is now there.

    Appreciate you raising this again, Tom. While it's possible to Delete a draft invoice as new invoicing has autosave built in it's not possible to just cancel out without saving once a contact has been entered.

    We'll keep track of the specific interest for this here, and I have merged the original idea that was created around this in with this one.

  3. For invoices received, allow settings to open the invoice for processing, especially for repeat bills. Invoices received from e.g. Municipalities uses the account number as pwd to open their invoice. Settings for this would be useful for automation of invoices received

  4. I'd like to be able to move expenses from one project to another without having to delete the expense under one project and manually enter it again into a different project number. It would be much easier and so much more efficient to be able to do the same as assigning a bill to a job number and if that job number turns out to be incorrect, it's simply a case of re-assigning the project number to it rather than having to delete and re-enter the whole thing again. Very frustrating and time consuming!

  6. Nowadays everyone include a credit card surcharge when paying a bill. However when the bill is recorded originally, it is without the surcharge. When applying payment to the bill, if we are in the bill screen and we apply an amount higher than the original invoice it records as an overpayment and creates a credit note. There should be an option like in the bank rec screen where it allows us to type in the surcharge so that the surcharge takes the same character as the original invoice.   7. To be able to only export a selection of sales invoices (or customers) and / or bills to pay (suppliers). Now you can only select on date or name via the search option. This will make it easier to send a selection of sales invoices and bills to pay in excel to customers or suppliers. (see file attached).

    Hi Marit, as shown when you've picked selected invoices and click the Export option only the one's you've selected will be exported. It sounds like you may want to search by a different term / field? If so can you share a bit more detail here to help when sharing your feedback with the team? Thanks

For volume based businesses, we lose money (30c per transaction) on the stripe fee we pay vs what we can pass onto the customer (because there's no option currently to just pass on the full fee, just a %). That % can't legally be higher than what we are charged, and we can't add the 30c fee to the % anywhere in settings. When we're processing 1,000 transactions per month, we lose $300 to fees.     Hi Eilish, is there are particular way your staff are recording how they bill customers through your Xero organisation atm? - e.g are you using Projects, or Tracking?

    As you noted there maybe a report that we an suggest that'll fully serve your needs in this here.

    My business often delivers the same or similar services to repeat customers. It would be useful if Xero could default the contact address based on GPS Location, and then even propose default invoice items and pricing to make the invoicing process easier. This reduces the risk of invoicing mistakes and adds efficiency into the process for invoice creation. Also helps with contact payment process improvement.

    Interesting idea here, Nathan. Can understand how this could increase efficiency for businesses that are invoicing on the go. It'll be good to get an idea of the interest from community through your idea here. Not something we have planned right now but I'll let you know if there's any change.

  11. It is not possible for CIS returns to be marked as filed when submitted outside of Xero, resulting in historic returns showing as overdue.
    It would be helpful to mark CIS returns as filed when submitted outside of Xero, as is currently possible with VAT returns.

  13. In February this year, all suplier invoices that were supposed to be marked 30 days, got moved to due in March and not end Feb due to the 28 days, This needs to be changed as an exception as there will never be 30 days in Feb.

When adding products from suppliers, it would be great to be able to add multiple suppliers details on one product (to save having the same item listed multiple times with each individual suppliers codes/costs etc). For example Supplier 1: Coca Cola Cans, Code: 1234 Cost: £12.99, Supplier 2: Coca Cola Cans, Code: A1244, Cost: £19.50. Rather have Coca Cola saved twice had sections within that product for multiple suppliers.

  16. There are new options now under 'Approve' on the new Sales Invoice. The majority of my invoices are created post-purchase, so I create the invoice, approve the invoice, then usually need to go back to the Invoices overview. I want to see added 'Approve and return' or 'Approve and close'. Currently it takes me three clicks to get back to the invoices, because I need to click on Approve, then 'Invoices' from the breadcrumb, then to 'All' since it defaults back to Awaiting Payment. (Why doesn't clicking 'Invoices' from the breadcrumb take you back to the All tab?? Surely that…

    Hi Trudi, while the Business menu option I mentioned in my last update remains the best flow for what you're after here currently.

    I thought it may be useful to share that we've recently released some keyboard shortcuts for common actions in new invoicing that may help improve your efficiency when invoicing. Our product team have added small prompts to highlight these in the product while our customers familiarise, and if you’d like to view the full list of options you can see them all on Xero Central

    We'll continue to track the interest in an approve & close option here, and share if there are any changes planned that may impact this.

  17. The ability to print receipts for batch payments is desperately needed.

    Currently there is no way to print a receipt for batch payments. There is only the ability to email receipts or print deposit summary. Deposit summaries do not contain the level of detail that a receipt does.

    Currently, to print receipts for payments recorded in a batch deposits you have to email the receipt to yourself first. The problem with this is, when you enter your email address in the blank field it then automatically updates the customers contact details with your email address, so you have to then…

    Thanks for your idea here, Laurie. Appreciate the detail in your post and why you'd like to see this.

    Its not something we have direct plans for atm, but we'll continue to track the interest here and share any updates.

    While not the ideal solution, for the time being to avoid updating your contacts record when you click send receipt from a batch payment, you could uncheck the recipients but have the option to 'Send me a copy' checked.

  18. See which BILLS have attached documents.

    On a Suppliers Contact page, under ACTIVITY tab, in the overview of the Bills/Spend Money, it would be useful to be able to see which items have a document attached to them.
    And which items don't.
    A simple icon to indicate that there is documentation behind the entry.
    We frequently have to add documents after the entry has been made via Bank Reconciliation rules. Knowing which items have already been populated, rather then having to open/close individual items, would be a great time saver.

    Thanks for sharing, John. Appreciate not all in one place atm, however from Bills lists (Awaiting payment etc) you can see if bills have file attachments in the far right column. Similarly from the bank account Account transactions page you'll be able to see this same file icon for Spend and Receive money transactions that have files attached.

  19. The item code on the New invoicing shows much smaller that it was on the Classic Invoicing. Example attached shows how much harder it is to read. Can this be enlarged?

  20. Whilst being able to set-up a payment run directly within Xero is great and saves time, it can be tedious and difficult when trying to reconcile it on the bank.

    There are two things Xero should add:

    There is seemingly no way in the bills screen to review previous payment runs. Something that at least would make it easier to check back at what was included in that payment.

    It should also put all payments from one payment run as one batch payment in the bank rec screen. Otherwise no time at all is saved in reconciliation as you still…
