  1. We have standing orders set up for multiple properties for water rates, business rates, electricity and rent all of which are invoiced quarterly/six monthly/annually.

    Can we have the ability to create bank rules for supplier overpayments to a contact??

  2. Is it be possible to add a section to 'find and recode' where you change status from approved back to draft? It would really help if hubdoc imports a number of documents incorrectly - tthen the fix can be done on bulk transactions

  3. GST Audit Report Page number selection to also appear at the top of the screen as well as the bottom of the screen. This would be beneficial to the user so they do not have to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to select what page they wish to review/go to. saving time for the end-user.

  5. In Accounting and Bank accounts, i would love to be able to drop and drag bank accounts to put them in order, Currently you have to click each account to move it to where you need it. This is fine if you only have 10 or under bank accounts but if you get to over 100 plus it's a very slow process

  6. When using find and recode it would be helpful to show the grand total of the line total column at the bottom. This way you know if the isolated transactions in your Excel worksheet matches with all the conditional filtered transactions in find and recode.

  7. I would like to suggest adding the capability to generate Sankey diagrams within Xero. Sankey diagrams are highly effective in visualizing the flow of resources, such as money, energy, or data, through different stages or categories. They could be used to illustrate cash flow, revenue distribution, and expense breakdowns in a more intuitive and engaging way.

    By adding Sankey diagrams, Xero could offer users a more dynamic and insightful view of their financial data, helping them better understand how money moves through their business, leading to improved decision-making and reporting.

    Interesting idea and good to hear the different visualisations that'd help our customers understand their business, Paul. This isn't something we have immediate plans for but will be good to get a understanding of the interest from the community here.

  8. Once a GST return is filed, rather than creating a bill could there be an option to 'convert this GST return into a bill'? Then it will sit in the payables report (as a reminder to set the payment!)

When reviewing a payment for an invoice, you need to click 3 times to review the transaction details..going into 4 screens, as it's on a separate screen (1-invoice 2-payment 3-transaction 4-transaction details). It would be more efficient to have the transaction details screen build into the same screen as the transaction screen. I don't see a need for a 4th screen, especially when you have click to go back to the previous screens when investigating multiple payments.

  10. We need a way to flag a transaction, either a sales, bill or account transaction that can then be pulled into a report for review before finalising BAS's etc.

    Whether that be a spend money that you are awaiting a Tax Invoice for, a bill that is in dispute, or a sales that need follow up.

    Could it be in the Bank Reconciliation menu where you can then pull the "discuss" notes into a report and the query notes could be there?

Choose your cash basis accounts - After coming to the forum becuase I haven't found a way to remove non-cash accounts from cash basis reports I saw a bunch of people asking for depreciation to be ADDED to the reports. So obviously we all want something different. How about each account on the COA has another checkbox (like the "show on dashboard", "enable payments" check boxes) that gives the user the option to EXCLUDE FROM CASH basis REPORTS. I can remove all the deferred revenue, someone else can add in depreciation, and we can all have the cash basis reports…

  12. It would also be a lot more practical to assign the expenses to projects in just the same way as it's done in invoices, instead of assigning them via the project tab. I notoced that not all expenses are taken into account and I had to go back to each bill to redo the project assignment to make sure that everything is accounted for, and even then, i find that there are still gaps.

    The invoice project assignment method has the merit of showing what was assigned or not.
    Having said this, it would also be very useful to have…

  13. VAT 126 - small local authorities can reclaim all VAT. To do so they need to submit a 126 schedule, which is not currently available within Xero. The problem is that the supplier's VAT number cannot be included in transaction reports.
    The ability to produce the VAT 126 schedule would make Xero a very good option for the many parish and small town councils.

The ability to match and upload receipts and invoices stored and analyzed on any number of different apps to simple bank transactions downloaded and categorized in xero based on the exact amount and the relative date only. Do this without the complication of further analysis in xero such as matching or paying bills.

    Background and use case: For any business primarily downloading and categorizing expenses from various bank and cc accounts and not using xero to bill customers and create invoices.

  17. When reconciling the bank, I always like to start with 'quick wins' and attempt to reconcile the suggested matches first. After the recent improvements, surely it now makes sense to add a filter on the bank feed reconciliation screen to 'show lines with suggested matches'?

    (This software coding must already exist because there is an option on the cash coding tab to 'Show lines with suggested matches' like in the screenshot)

  18. Can we have one more column or filter option containing Bills/ Expenses status like Paid, Awaiting payment, Awaiting approval and Draft to generate every details on project bills/ expenses record in "Project Details Report" or Project features in "Payable Invoice Detail" report.

  19. Cheque payments should have the cheque number visible for matching in the bank feed. In the past, Xero cheque numbers were displayed with the payment informatio "suggested match" column of bank recs.

    When you have 5+ outstanding cheques for the same amount, it was easy to verify that you were matching the correct one because you could see the cheque number on the bank feed as well as the payment. Now you have to drill down into "find match" and actually open the payment to verify. Very cumbersome.
