  1. Ability to have the tax amount show on each line item and not just in the total below or even better so that sales tax automatically shows within the line item amount as per on screen, but when Printed to PDF it shows no Tax amounts per line.

    Hi team, returning to the idea. To confirm, with standard branding you can simply choose whether the amounts shown on your invoices to customers are tax inclusive or tax exclusive.

    In terms of default tax the Tax Amount column that can be shown on the invoice within Xero - it's possible to use an advanced branding theme and customise the DocX template to add the TaxOnLineAmount merge field to make this visible to your customer. If you'd prefer to not show Tax Rate or Tax name you can also use the advanced branding template to customise and remove these fields.

    Hi team, back again to let everyone know that the recent changes in Bank Reconciliation page have now been rolled out to 100% of users. 🎉

    As mentioned in my last update this includes a bar at the top of the page so you can search and filter statement lines based on your preferred criteria, and the options to the right side of the Search enable you to set a date or amount range to help filter down your view.😁 You now also have the ability to view up to 50 unreconciled statement lines on one page - See our blog for more recent updates

    We thank you all for your contributions in this idea. I know there are some that are interested in still seeing the ability to sort from this view, and I wanted to share the new idea that's been raised where we'll begin to track this…

    Hi there 👋, like mentioned (Thanks Freya) when using new invoicing and you enter any data in the current line a new line will automatically be added below so you don't need to manually add new lines 🙂

    Hi Coleman, this is possible with the use of Tracking. You could set up one of your tracking categories as properties and list each of your properties as an option. Then when you're entering documents in Xero you can assign each line of your bills, invoices and other document types to the property it relates. 🙂

  6. Current volume limit is too low. I can't even run the account transaction report including all the account codes for the whole financial year. It's not ideal to run a few report and add together. Strongly recommend Xero increasing the volume limit for the report.

  7. When managing the finances for rental properties it would be great if a default rate could be set up against the 'Account' for rent payments so that the Unit Price ie weekly rent, doesn't have to be entered each time (52 times a year)

  10. Add another option on the SAVE button for Supplier Invoice entry (and Sales I guess but we don't use XERO for our Sales) to enable a previously entered invoice to be copied from and then SAVED as a RECURRING INVOICE. There have been many times I would love to have had this option.

  11. If I use the Receive Money option from the menu: when selecting the customer I would like Xero to give me an option to SELECT INVOICE to apply money to OR create a new transaction. Much easier than going to customer - add payment etc. Again look for some inspiration from other products.

    Hi Hennie, if an invoice already exists related to a payment receive money should not be used. Rather than having to add a payment to the invoice or bill, you can simply use the Find & Match tool within the Reconcile tab to locate and match with the statement line.

    Hi Mandy, it's in a slightly different place in new invoicing but on an approved invoice there is an 'Add payment button in the top right of the screen. This'll open a modal where you can enter payment details.

  14. Allow the Xero app to take photos of receipts at the time of purchase. To reduce the number of steps to get a photo of a receipt attached to a transaction.

    Ideally then when reconciling credit card transactions, the receipts will already be in Xero and they would pop up as a suggestion, based on the date of the transaction with the date the photo was taken.

    It would also be ideal if you could view the receipt whilst coding, like it does when you are viewing a draft bill to pay.

  15. When editing a report in the financial statements, it would be great if there was an option to preview just that page and not the whole document. Ie if editing balance sheet , have the option to open a pdf of just that page ( but keep the whole doc on a sept PDF- so two options)
    Would just be so much faster to preview the actual page I'm working on, and not having to wait for the whole document to open, than scroll/find the bal sheet

    When you open the layout editor of a report you'll see PDF preview of your report on the right hand side, so you can see how changes you're making to your report impact it 'on the fly'. 🥳

  16. When searching for a bank institution, you all should allow for searches for the bank URL home page and also include a logo of the bank with each institution. For example, 'First Bank' has 40 different institutions and each sound similar to the next. Please consider creating better identifiers for each bank institution Xero integrates with. (QBO does this)

    Hey everyone, great news on this one! You can now enter your bank's website address (URL) right into the search field. It's a handy way to help you pinpoint the exact bank you need and get your feed connected.

    While logos don't appear on the search screen itself, you will see that for many banks, their logo will pop up on your dashboard once the account is connected.

  17. When importing a bank statement, it would be great if just before completing the import, Xero could show the end bank statement balance based on the existing bank balance and the transactions that are about to be imported. This could then be checked with the actual bank statement to make sure it matches.

  18. When a sales invoice is created, there should be a place where i can see what is the gross profit. If not, I would have to go back and forth between the inventory module and the sales invoice module to maunally calculate.

  19. The new invoicing will not allow e-invoicing without an ABN attached which defeats the purpose . Bring back the classic invoicing.

  20. When emailing an invoice to a customer there is an option to insert a link to the invoice. However the link is always placed at the end of the message and I have to cut and paste it where I want it in the message.

    Could the link not be inserted where the active cursor is instead? Saving the user the hassle of moving the link.

    Hi community, with the improved send experience in new invoicing you'll find this is now possible. 

    When you add the Online Invoice link through placeholders, you'll see it is automatically inserted wherever the cursor is placed in the email on the left and you can get an instant visual of what this looks like to your customer on the right. 😊
