  3. Accounts Payable - New Bills/payee highlighted in batch payment summary

    I review the batch payment summaries for our organization after they have been approved by managers but I would like some further controls - it would be great if there was some indication on the batch payment summary that this was a first time bill payee and/or if Xero could check for duplicated bank account numbers in the batch payment summaries.

  6. Add a total invoice amount at the top of the screen like the old invoicing format. It's a pain to open an invoice and have to scroll all the way to the bottom to find the total amount of the invoice, especially if it's a long invoice. The old invoice format shows the invoice total at the top of screen

    While we don't have any direct plans for adding a total back at the top of the invoice, it'd be good to get a sense of the interest if this is important to others in community here, too.

    Though I appreciate it's not a solve for the idea. To help speed up getting to the bottom of the page on those lengthier invoices, Julie you may find using the 'end' button on your keyboard helpful 🙂

  7. It's good to see you have extended the period before removing classic invoicing because I still need to revert to classic for certain features that are missing from the new system, namely:

    1. The ability to copy invoices to Bills and PO's - this is an important feature that I use regularly
    2. Send invoices via Xero network - again this is a feature that has been useful especially for invoicing between subsidiaries.
    3. Save and continue feature, I don't like the auto save feature because it continues to update the history and notes while I am still adding details to the invoice…

  8. When I am logged-in to Xero as a user with "Invoice only" and "only create drafts" permissions, it is my understanding that this user should not be able to create new invoice items or see menu options for creating new items. However, it appears this user can see this menu option when adding a line item to an invoice and attempt to create a new item, leading to an ambiguous error message.

  9. Allow users to put in mileage claims at a nil rate per mile.
    This would allow the invoicing team to pick up mileage to charge to clients that is not claimed by operational staff: for example, where operational staff have a vehicle provided by the company.

  10. Xero made a lot of noise about how good the 'new invoicing' feature would be. Users gave plenty of feedback early on when new invoicing was optional, both in comments and by not switching over to new invoicing. Xero proceeded with the change seemingly unaware of the negative mood amongst users to the new invoicing feature.

    The product ideas section show, only in it's first 5 pages, 43 product ideas about new invoicing. Many of these product ideas are requests for previously available features to be made available again. Many of the ideas are under consideration or being worked on.

    Appreciate your feedback, Martin. I can assure you throughout the build of new invoicing we have engaged and tested out features with many different users. To keep customers informed throughout we have shared blog posts and regularly update our Xero Central page with what's been delivered and what's to come.

    Being such a widely used feature, we have focused on features that suit majority of our customers needs. We appreciate some customers still want to see more development and we are continuing to enhance this new invoicing experience.

    An update in the last few months bought inconsistency into the invoicing format in terms of the decimal points on the unit pricing. It would be good to be able to define this - to two, three, four decimal points so that there is consistency on the invoices rather than some units at two and some at four decimal points.

  13. If a client has overpaid an invoice, or paid an invoice that has been voided/credited, when Ihave reconciled the incoming payment as an Overpayment, I would then like to be able to create a Bill from this payment so that the refund it sitting in Bills Awaiting Payment.

    Thanks for the added detail, Becky. This is good to know when sharing back with the team. While this may be something we look closer at down the line, I want to be open that we don't have direct change planned in the near term.

    Understand it's a few more clicks at present, potentially to save tabbing 8 time clicking on the Tax Rate column and then tabbing once may save a little time atm. Completely get it's not a resolve though.

    Account Team - Is it possible that this would be when you're copying an invoice to a new draft invoice? If so, and you select the same Contact defaults aren't automatically applied and you'd need to remove and re-add the contact on the new draft invoice to trigger defaults to be applied.   15. You should be able to create a Bill Credit note directly from the FILES folder of your profile. This way when you go in to check the Credit note, you can create it straight away, rather than have to go out, in to Bills, and then have to create it from there.
    OR when you send an 'invoice'/attachment through to your draft bills, you should be able to change it to be a bill credit note rather than a bill

  16. In new invoicing the drop down issue date is today or tomorrow. I suspect "Yesterday" and "end of last month" would be helpful for lots of businesses who bill the day or month after a job is finished.

  17. When entering after Qty field, amount is pre filled with 0.00 and when you type, it will put the amount after e.g 0.00120 instead of 120.00. Please remove the pre filled zeros as with classic invoicing and keep the new invoicing in line with everything else in Xero like bills and spend money etc. It is too different!😒

  19. We have monthly invoices and we have multiple lines, sometimes 100+. With the new invoicing, the approve button is at the top of the screen and I have to scroll to the top every time I got to check the total prior to approving. Can you please make the 'approve' ribbon fixed at the top of the screen when you scroll down?

  20. At the moment, the options for quote status are: Draft, Sent, Declined, Accepted, and Invoiced. A sales quote that was sent but it's now past the date on which it expired still shows as Sent. It hasn't been Declined yet, but nor has it been Accepted, so there are quotes which are 4 years old still sitting in the list of valid quotes (see attached extract from the accounts of one of my clients).
